In the latest episode of Mann Ki Baat on 27th September 2020, Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi spoke about the art of storytelling. He mentioned that the history of stories is as ancient as the human civilization itself. ‘Where there is a soul, there is a story’.

As we are going to celebrate 75 years of independence, Prime Minister urged storytellers across the Nation to share stories of many inspiring events during the entire period of our enslavement. Especially, from 1857 to 1947, stories around every major or minor incident during this period can be introduced to our new generation.

Do you know of any inspiring event during the 1857-1947 freedom struggle that isn’t so well known? Maybe a long-forgotten hero who did not get as much prominence as he/she deserved? Maybe an incident which played a minor but important role in our struggle? A story you might have heard from a family elder, many years ago?

we are standing in the era of great independence, but we must never forget sacrifices made by great leaders like Gokhale,Bhagat singh,Gandhiji,Tagore etc,we celebrate our independence due to them .proud to be an indian jaihind!

while, we became independent, we must never forget how we became slaves to begin with. divisions in the name of caste, creed, and region are still existing which were the main reasons for India's conquest by outsiders. arent we doin the same mistake today? we allowed our invaders to invade us and we're doing the same with china and Pakistan in the first 66 years of independence. we must ensure that we must fight to finish our enemies in this era of 5th generation warfare

Khawaja Nayak: Resident of Khandess (Khandesh), Maharashtra; a leader of the Bhil tribe, he took a leading part in the Uprising of 1857; he organized the rebels in the vicinity of Khandesh and led them in attacking the British establishments; he was caught by the British in the course of an engagement in November 1858, but escaped soon after. He as again captured by the British and executed in 1860.

जलती रही जौहर में नारियां , भेड़िए फिर भी मौन थे। हमे पढ़ाया गया अकबर महान तो फिर महाराणा प्रताप कौन थे? हुआ तांडव मुगलों का जब, सारा जनमानस मौन था। हुए बहुत मराठे वीर पर, शिवाजी सबमें शेर था। सड़ती रही लाशें सड़कों पर, गांधी फिर भी मौन थे, हमें पढ़ाया गांधी के चरखे से आजादी आयी, तो फांसी पर चढ़ने वाले वो 25-25 साल के नौजवान कौन थे?

Our country's condition is very bad ....Why is there injustice in our country for Hindu priests??? Agar पुजारी ki jgah koi maulvi maar diya jata , then I Am sure ki aaj is baat pe poori country m Muslims हिन्दुओं ko jeene na dete..

5 सितंबर 1872 तूत्तुक्कुडि तमिलनाडु में जन्मे वी.ओ.चिदंबरम पिल्लै, पहले भारतीय थे जिन्होंने अंग्रेजों के विरुद्ध स्वदेशी जहाज को समुद्र में उतारा। अंग्रेजों द्वारा समुद्री व्यापार से नवयुवक बेरोजगार और देश में गरीबी छाने लगी। अपनी वकालत छोड़कर उन्होंने स्वदेशी जहाज से व्यापार करने का निश्चय किया और विदेशी व्यापार का बहिष्कार । उन्होंने प्रतिज्ञा ली 'मैं जहाज के साथ लौटूंगा, नहीं तो समुद्र में डूब मरूंगा'। दृढ़ संकल्प शक्ति से उन्होंने जहाज खरीदे और आत्मनिर्भर भारत की नींव डाली। ऐसे वीर को नमन।
