He also urged citizens to celebrate the festival with clay/eco-friendly idols as well as environment-friendly practices. Further, he invited citizens to share pictures and experiences of the eco-friendly celebrations on MyGov.

My ecofriendlly,Ganesha made of..Mud,grrass, marigold and tulsi seed,and also gangajal....when we drop our gnesha in water or our homemade ganesha pot..then..a little plant comeout ..nd our ganesha stay in home always..so this ganesh chaturthi...me nd my family celebrate eco friendly ganesh chaturthi....for our environment safe and clean.. #HappyGaneshChaturthi.

My daughters of 12 years and 9 years have made Eco friendly Ganesh this time. Though we keep Ganesha every year but this year after appeal from Hon'ble PM, they decided to make it on their own with clay and insisted me to communicate it through this platform.
