He also urged citizens to celebrate the festival with clay/eco-friendly idols as well as environment-friendly practices. Further, he invited citizens to share pictures and experiences of the eco-friendly celebrations on MyGov.

Good morning to all friends that today is Ganesh chaturthi so my adviceGanesha Chaturthi celebrations in Bengaluru: Around five tons of sugarcane was used to complete the magnificent idol of Lord Ganesha.

Happy Ganesh Chaturthi.... My Eco friendly Ganesh idols made by me... Celebrate the festival with eco friendly Ganesh by avoiding the idols which contains toxic substances which effects the environment.
