To establish Itanagar as a smart city, every resident will play a crucial role. We hereby invite all Citizens of Itanagar to bring forth their opinions and feedback for transforming Itanagar into a smart city and voice their opinion through various Citizen Engagement platforms we are organizing like Workshops, Essay and Painting competitions for students in schools, Smart Itanagar Logo Design Competition, Vision Design Competition, Roadshows, Opinion polls, social media, household surveys and online discussions. These activities are focused on understanding the issues faced by the residents of the city and their vision for a dream Itanagar.

We are presenting in the image below some of the key features of Itanagar that we have identified through primary analysis of city administration data.

• Strengths (S) e.g. Scenic Natural Beauty
• Weaknesses (W) e.g. Poor Physical Infrastructure
• Opportunities (O) e.g. Tourism Industry
• Threats (T) e.g. Landslides

The citizens are requested to add on to these identified S-W-O-T features for Itanagar city and share their views with us.

I strongly believe that education is the key to the development of any city and Itanagar has a great potential to transform itself into a hub of research and innovation. The initial steps include building quality education centers (schools, colleges and research facilities) to give students and Itanagar the opportunity to grow. #SmartItanagar #SmartCity

The heart of Arunachal Pradesh "Itanagar" deserves more infrastructure development. Making it a #SmartCity is a positive step taken towards making the capital region more prominent among tourists. Also there should be more steps taken towards preserving the scenic beauty & natural habitat of #SmartItanagar.

I personally feel that this would be brilliant step. Developing Itanagar would be crucial step in promoting the North East in many more ways than just Tourism. Following the footsteps of NIIT Silchar and IIM Shillong, Itanagar too could be placed in the Premier Education hub-map.

Itanagar is a window to the beauty that Northeast is! Working towards making Itanagar a smart city will be beneficial for both the regionals and tourists alike. An eco-park, technology developments and better infrastructure will further boost the state economy. It's great what the govt. of Arunachal Pradesh has done for Namdapha National Park, making it the 3rd largest national park & the largest protected area in the Eastern Himalayan Biodiversity Hotspot. Although we are allowed to go in the area on our own vehicles What I would recommend is the complete packages delivered from the govt. so as to make it more easier for tourists to visit and get the zest of the area completely.

Itanagar should focus more on revamping place of interest like the Museums, Old forts & tourist places. These simple revamping could help make Itnagar a smart city.

For the overall enhancement of #Itanagar, one of the prominent focal point should be generating strong presence of Hospitality & Tourism. This will result in an enormous increase in the number of visitors, hence, making Itanagar, a #SmartCity indeed!

Itanagar has great natural beauty that makes it a perfect tourist destination. Tourism should be the main focus of Itanagar. It stands to become a great place to unwind and go away for weekend getaways. Hotels and B&B should be developed for making Itanagar the next tourist destination.

Before making Itanagar smart city , we can make Itanagar earning center by setup amusement project in Itanagar like disney world or any big project like EUROPA park in germany , First thing we can do to build class airport with facility so that we can attract more tourist from all over world then we can merge with Foreign investor or domestic investors to invest in natural amusement park like Disney world and EUROPA park in Germany , once itanagar making money and independent.
