Government should do something about solid waste management, Entrepreneurships based on this sector should be encouraged. waste is a resource

The govt have all the expertise and plans on how to clean the Ganga. The plans are made by engineers and specialist who knows the problem areas and have solutions to combat the problems. The only thing missing is their honest approach to implement the same. If a govt cant provide clean air, clean water, electricity, jobs and a peaceful environment to its citizens then I wonder for what purpose a govt is formed. These are the basic human rights of every citizen.

Identify some major city from which ganga passes and make the check post of water . By this and the points mentioned in previous comments if implented, ganga will be clean to a great extent , people will be employed ,and if ganga is cleaned tourism will automatically go up.. more and more people will be attracted and then you can start the ganga tour by seaways and promote seaways and side by side impose heavy fine who is found polluting it.I think this will work out otherwise Bhagwanhishambale

Make a or two check post after major city from which ganga passes through . Check the water , remove the garbage purify the water then allow it to pass and have make some pond near every check post to store some water which can be used in summers . Give engineers the job,give localites the job, workers can also be used in huge quantity .Have shift kind of structure .Do the same what u do when u make a SEZ in some rural place .,employ the localites have some quota for them.

Awareness about cleanliness is nothing when the people are uneducated and illeterate. Whoever is unemployed , give them employment and pay suitable salary to them according to their work . Ganga passes to U.P and bihar which are two most illeterate states . Employ the people in ganga cleanliness .. there are many engineers who are unemployed you can use their potential and transfer their salary directly through their account if they dont have one transfer to jan dhan yojana .

Dear Mr.Modi, I am very much interested in devoting myself to Clean Ganga project. I understand that some 20000 cr. rupees are sanctioned for the project. I would like to let you know that in you give me Rs. 300 cr. only, I will clean Ganga in whole of Varanasi and that too within 2 years. Every rupee and every minute will be used for the cleanliness purpose. If you are willing to take this risk, the results will make you happy.
