A company named Intellectual Ventures has researched heavily in this domain. For example, they have developed systems to kill mosquitoes without using any chemicals with laser technology. They have computer simulations to chart trends of vector borne disease so that the disease can be prevented. We can collaborate with them to solve this problem on a large scale.

Please ban non degradable packaging material and the number of vector borne disease cases will plummet drastically. it will lead to considerably less choking of drainage channels and prevent stagnation of water.

Govt should shall mosquito net on discounted rate on Public distribution system.Govt. should ask to IIT or technical R & D firms to design sugarcane juicer as it is mostly sold along road way.Further R & D is required to develop transparent sheet ( which can withstand temp.) to cover hot breakfast so that street vendor could cover their food.

I wanted to suggest a prevention step for swine flu as there are mostly ayurvedic treatments for ths disease, so we must try out these methods, one of them is breathing in the fumes of camphor and green cardamom. As holi is to be celebrated on 6th march and you all know that on 5th March in many places people practice holika dahan so we can burn these cardamom and camphor in this holika dahan. And as the fumes will spread it will affect viruses and we can fight against swine flu effectively.

Launch a massive drive to educate individuals to clear any water logging within or near their premises. Create an online/sms based reporting system wherein individuals can report any instance of water logging or clogged/open drains. Such instances should be actively monitored by civic bodies an addressed on priority. Co-ordinate with states/local civic bodies to spray insecticides/fogging before and after rain season. Enforce and ensure that local civic bodies act on Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.

When there's a virus attack it causes havoc.I thank press for their rapid action not only in current information but also educating through doctors. But prevention is better than cure.Thru district & local council & panchayat a strong network is to be built with weekly report to the health ministry, which in turn can put paramedical staff & publicity mechanism in action to prevent such disaster from happening.Actually in a developing country main run is behind livelihood,so consequence follows.
