The objective of the Group is to brainstorm and invite considered views of all stakeholders in Chemicals & Petrochemical sector that include polymers, plastics, synthetic rubber basic Chemicals, pesticide, dyes etc. The sector is touching the lives of each and every member of the society. This sector has tremendous potential of growth vis a vis the contribution of this sector in the world economy, especially in the manufacturing sector in developed countries. The sector also offers employment opportunities for a large population.

As the sector is already liberalized, which has also resulted in a rapid increase in imports, there is a need to review this situation and to promote domestic manufacturing by attracting large investments and providing facilitative policy regime. At the same time, sustainability and environment friendliness of the industries in this sector also has to be ensured as an initiative as part of ‘MAKE IN INDIA’ campaign of the new government.

Comments and views are invited from the stakeholder at large.

Like SEZ, EOU, IT PARK , government has to setup chemical zone and should name as "ACPDZ" that is ALLIED CHEMICAL PETROCHEMICAL DECLARED ZONE. State government and central government has to jointly conduct survey with the help of environment, water, agri and health ministry along with approved agencies who can guide the government that in which location, area and region government can set up "ACPDZ" . please keep this in mind our agri land, villages, city and rivers shall not be trapped in it.

Policy : while setting up chemical and petrochemical + other sub categories like pharma, fertilizers, pesticides etc manufacturing unit. One has to take various approval from many departments for licensing and certification. First of all multiple nodals and authority job work shall be done under one roof and at one go. so that non of the department will be able to blame other department. Yes I repeat keeping our peoples health , environment and safety in mind. seperate chemical zone required

CHEMICAL BRANCHES OF Educational institutions must be affiliated to this scheme first. Research and development must be promoted by funds either by government or PPP model. Plus assistance and venture capital arrangements should be done by government, to encourage individuals(studens and faculty) to go for Start Ups in this sector.

Sir, there are umpteen number of retired and high spirited men from army, police and other security units. A programme must be made where each of these retired personnels chooses a school or college of their choice and takes up the charge of imbibing nationalistic fervour in them and also train them to be resourceful in time of need( like war, hazards etc.) This will keep these people also charged up and a conciousness will also seep into our youth. Think over it. Thanks.

Apart from the pesticide issue, I am giving some ideas of the usage of edible oils in kitchen: For frying choose refined palm or palmolein oil (saturated fats), for cooking choose soyabean or palmolein or sunflower or ricebran oils (unsaturated fats). so that during frying oil won't be deteriorated itself. After deep frying, avoid the oil residues for re-frying; oil will get rancid. After all choose oil for cooking which declares no antioxidants on pouch.
