My parents are NRI and first let's think about cleaning and fixing up India then we can talk about tourism. There should be an organization which funds India with improving their infrastructure led by the NRI community. With this operation more tourists would be amazed to see that India is a lot like the west merged with the culture that still exist within the nation. The NRI organization can also accomodate tourists with recommended attractions and local tour guides to offer a better experience

Dear Sir, OCI is excellent process for travel to India but it has problem like when our passport expired then we have to take both old and new passport and OCI sticker booklet so total 3 we need to travel to India. Since India already has record for OCI why not photocopy is allowed or other simplify method where only one card like bank card so visitor can put to there pocket and their current passport. Please make OCI process free of stress. Thanks Arvind Sharma Ottawa

Dear PM we had so much difficulty and no help to apply for PIO card for 2 year old son from UK then some how after all hassle , informed that PIO card is revoked and now its going to be OCI card only. we would have got the pio card by that time , but no help from gov but not we have to apply for visa which will be another cost , like paying twice for one thing as OCI takes longer. Its like waiting in Transit and flight cancelled and asked to pay for another flight Thanks and regards

Wish we could. I had written about clean India and Safe India in my previous post. It is of highest priority to make our country safe for tourists. It's a national shame for a country that says "athithi devo bhava", still, foreign tourists happen to suffer sexual assault. My request to the government, let us please do everything that's needed to prevent crime against women, punish the violators heavily, quickly and shamefully and educate the entire population about gender equality and respect

Clean India and Safe India are the two objectives, if we achieve, will enhance tourism by many folds. Regarding Clean India, the momentum created by Modiji's initiatives must be carried forward effectively by properly channelized resources and while continuing the awareness campaign, it must also be followed with strict rules for adherence and serious consequence for violation. For Safe India, a lot of work, all round effort, which must be started on warfooting

To protect air india, India's ministry of civil aviation has refused to sign new air bilaterals with other countries especially gulf countries. India should sign open skies policy with most countries so maximum airlines can fly to india and tickets to india can get cheap. This would lead to more tourism and growth. Instead of protecting few domestic airlines, aviation ministry should change its thinking.

If there is an NGO reading this post that is dedicated to cleaning ganga along with other clean india initiatives , I would like to launch a NRI campaign in the US to help that NGO Technologically, Strategically and financially . Let me know. We need more action than words.

Dear GOI officials, there was an annoucement by PM, Narendra Modi about lifelong PIO card. It would be nice to know the progress on that issue. When should we expect the rules and regulations with procedures set up.

I am British and have O C I ... I can travel freely to India and stay as long as I want to stay. I am Gujarati and love to stayin Gujarat. I am retired and spend at least 4 months in india during winter months. Like OCI WHY CAN't we have OCI Alcohol permit. The tourist permit is only valid for one month. Winter is NRG season for Gujarat. Make NRG welcomed with out all bureaucracy

Our PM Narendra Modi had announced that PIO and OCI will be combined into one program. But in reality PIO card is decommissioned prematurely without ensuring PIO eligible members are accommodated in OCI program because of which not one is able to apply for OCI(who were earlier qualified for PIO).. Request you to look at this issue urgently and provide relief for thousands like me who are facing similar situation.
