Transparency and participation of more people will definitely bring down the cost of any project. Ignorance is a curse in our society and the lengthy process of punishing the corrupts or non performers or the bhai-bhatijabad are other key factors which has crippled the society and made them lethargic to participate. Thereby a system may please be formulated to take the comments of the people who are the beneficiaries before allocating the funds and then again taking their views after completion

presently large black money transaction is done by currency notes of 1000 and 500. if both these notes are discontinued, then in the first place, it will save money on production and circulation of these notes. secondly, it will put pressure and additional costs on black marketeers and corrupt officers as they will be forced to use, lower notes. thirdly, government by enforcing almost all financial transactions in cash less mode will reduce financial costs. this can be done from FY 2015-16

Transparency is the solution to tackle corruption & mismanagement in Govt and improve Expenditure Management .Every organization coming under RTI Act (Central & State) should publish all transactions & events took place in their office in web site. Periodicity & format to be uploaded should be prescribed by Expenditure Commission with assistance of Independent Consultants. CEO and PIO of each office should be made responsible for the same. Anybody interested should be able to access information

The newspapers are FULL OF GOVERNMENT advertisements. Is this cost being monitored. Why do we have to put full page advertisments in newspapers for inaugurations. Is this publicity for the ruling party at the cost of the tax payer's money ? This is not done in the western countries. All the welfare schemes are launched WITHOUT ALL THE FANFARE !

We respect Honourable Shri Narendra Modiji to free india from Corruption and bribes. This is what make the contractors to escalate the costs for those tasks that are outsourced. Recently I had a chat with a friend of mine who says 20% commission is demanded by government machinery for any project in the railways. Will the MODI SARKAR free india from corruption ?

The transport allowance given to the salaried class has been Rs 800/month for the past many decades. Instead of raising the income tax limits (which was already done in last budget), government must think of raising the transport allowance to a reasonable amount. Though this will cause a loss of revenue to the exchequer, it would encourage middle class to use public transport and will leave some money in their pockets.

There are about 52 taxes in India . The annual total of all these taxes comes to about Rs.14 lac crores. If all excluding customs and import duties are abolished and all the concerned departments closed down and a single bank transaction tax on all bank credits @ 2% it will come to Rs.250 lac crores. If all transactions above Rs.2000 are channeled through banks only it will increase further. This will end corruption of tax departments and circulation of black money and reduce inflation.

Government gives subsidy on LPG. Gas companies should think to give the body space of cylinder on rent for advertisements and recover a part of cost. Then Their is no need for subsidy.
