The outbreak of the global pandemic COVID -19 presents a challenging time for everyone around the world. Not only is this pandemic a serious medical concern, but it also brings mixed emotions and psycho-social stressors for all. There are emerging mental health concerns with specific focus on Children, Adolescents and Youth as they more vulnerable to heightened level of stress, anxiety and fearfulness, along with a range of other emotional and behavioral issues. COVID-19 has also brought new stressors on Teachers and Parents hampering their capacity to provide positive support to their wards. While it is important to focus on continuing education on the academic front, we must give equal importance to the mental health and well-being of the students.

Manodarpan, an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, under the AatmaNirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, aims at mobilizing psycho-social support to help Children, Youth, Teachers and Parents country-wide in a comprehensive and multimodal manner during conditions like COVID-19 and after. For more information, please visit www.mhrd.gov.in/covid-19/

MyGov in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, hereby invites citizens to share ideas and inputs to combat the psycho-social stress on School & College Students, Teachers and Parents, caused due to COVID-19 pandemic. Selected comments may be featured on social media.

Last date of sending us your inputs is 21st August 2020

Dear sir, thanks for considering this. Can we creat a webinar every week to understand the concerns of the student community directly. Removing the situations e.g removing board exams etc is not going to solve the problem rather making them weak. Let us creat sessions through webinar’s to empower them and take up their concerns. It is important to create a platform where students can express themselves.

Respected sir it's good move and brilliant efforts taken. students can select their own choice subjects to study....... Talking about current situation, schools have started on line classes which not effective since it's new to students and teachers too Teachers are just reading out text books in online classes & sharing notes in WhatsApp. which is not serving our purpose and top of that private schools r forcing us to pay school fee we are in I'll status no job, salary cut & less payouts help

We all know that this is a hard time for all of us so we should do yoga as it helps to control our mental and physical health and keeps stress away, play with your family members as it helps to maintain your smile during lockdown, talk or spent time with them.We can do these things to keep away from stress during this pandemic.

PLATO SAID "PEOPLE ARE ILL, LET US CURE THE RULERS." SIR, BEING VERY PRACTICAL AND IN THE SAME STAGE I MUST SAY PARENTS SHOULD LET THEIR CHILDREN TAKE THEIR OWN DECISIONS ONCE THEY GET MATURED ENOUGH i.e. AT AROUND THE AGE OF 15 CHILDREN SHOULD BE SET FREE TO DEVELOP MORE AND UNDERSTAND THE WORLD AND THE PEOPLE HERE. UNTIL AND UNLESS THE PARENTS WILL NOT LET THEIR CHILDREN TAKE THEIR OWN DECISIONS ,NOT BEING OVER POSSESSIVE AND ESPECIALLY NOT THINK OF "WHAT WILL SOCIETY SAY" SUICIDE WILL PREVAIL
