One field of concern is our sanitation practices at present, we claim in the census 2011 that there is no more open defecation. Let us not fool ourselves, unless a common sewerage plant is introduced, our system of directly accessing the natural drains are as equal as open defecation, also the present practice of emptying septic tanks is a nuisance. Moreover, the implication is upon the city's health... Let us have a common vision for healthy Kohima.

My vision for my city is to have a sustainable future, unless certain preventive measures are applied today, a city thriving under no rules, no regulation, no authority accountable to its citizens shall ultimately lead us towards disaster. I hope with this smart city mission, besides development of all the core infrastructure and introducing smart solutions in Kohima, an accountable authority shall be in place to address the needs of the citizens and not just to generate revenue....

1.If there could be knowledge exchange programmes between the government schools and the private schools that way it'll boost the morale and competitive spirit.
2. Some sectors that need focus are :
-Airport
-Use of good quality materials to build roads
-Drainage system
-Better literacy rate
-Build cleaner and hygienic market
-create separate online portals to address public grievances to the ruling government directly(not social networking sites, though it helps.)

Smart city needs a smarter generation. I would like to suggest something that might help bring a change in the younger generation. Incorporate coding(different computer languages)syllabus in the school students education system. Both practical and theoretical knowledge should be taught. Easy simulation and faster way to solve bigger problems may be achieved in less time if people have knowledge in coding and designing algorithms.
