Kalyan-Dombivli is one of the 98 cities shortlisted to be developed as a ‘Smart City’ under the Smart Cities Mission of the Government of India. Kalyan Dombivli is in the process of revising the smart city proposal to participate in the Round-2 of Smart City Challenge.

KDMC appreciates the continuous support from citizens in the preparation of the plan. Further, the corporation invites the views and suggestions of the citizens on the draft proposal prepared for Kalyan-Dombivli. We hereby request you to provide us your valuable insights and suggestions on the proposal.

Cities today are facing rapid urbanisation and undergoing tremendous changes that are reshaping its future. Cities are where new ideas are introduced, where oppotunities are created and where the future is shaped. Delivering creative solutions to greatest challenges facing our cities should be focused.

Smart city concept is driven by latest Technologies but I think smart city success is highly dependent on the engagement of citizens. Smart city need smart people too.

सार्वजनिक वाहतुक व्यवस्था सक्षम करणे आवश्यक असून दळणवळणाची सोय झाल्याने शहरातील रेल्वे परिसरा नजिकच्या व्यवस्थेवरील ताणकमी होईल

स्मार्ट सिटी अंतर्गत सार्वजनिक वाहतुक व्यवस्था सक्षम करणेस प्राधान्य देणे या अंतर्गत रेल्वे स्टेशन परिसरात स्वतंत्र बस टर्मिनल्स उपलब्ध करून दिल्यास प्रवाशांना त्याचा फायदा होईल.

MMR रिजन मध्ये एनएनएमटी, टीएमटी, केडीमएटी, युएमटी, बेस्ट, व्हीव्हीएमटी, एमबीएमटी असा सहा महानगर पालिकेच्या स्वतंत्र सार्वजनिक वाहतुक व्यवस्था आहे. परंतू त्यांना हददीची मर्यादा आहे. सर्वच सार्वजनिक वाहतुक संस्था तोटयात आहेत. याकरीता एकत्रित Unified Transport झाल्यास प्रवाशांना सुखकर सुलभ थेट सेवा उपलब्ध होईल तसेच रेल्वेस पर्यायी सक्षम वाहतुक तयार होईल.

कचरा कुंडी व गटारींचे वेळोवेळी स्वच्छता, रस्त्यांचे खट्टे दुरुस्ती, पार्किंग सुविधा वाढवणे, प्रदूषण कमी करनेसाठी योग्य ती सोय करणे.रेन हार्वेस्टिंग प्रत्येक इमारतित करणे.

Solid waste management should also be done at the society level and people should be make aware for benefits of segregation and proper disposal. It will help in improvement of environment of the city and as well as help in creating a better society.

Water conservation should be given paramount importance and Rainwater harvesting shall not only be governed by acts/rules but citizen should come forward and take the lead, promote and participate in conserving our water resouces.
