Kalyan-Dombivli is one of the 98 cities shortlisted to be developed as a ‘Smart City’ under the Smart Cities Mission of the Government of India. Kalyan Dombivli is in the process of revising the smart city proposal to participate in the Round-2 of Smart City Challenge.

KDMC appreciates the continuous support from citizens in the preparation of the plan. Further, the corporation invites the views and suggestions of the citizens on the draft proposal prepared for Kalyan-Dombivli. Kalyan Dombivli is among the fast growing city in the MMR. Its necessary to have recreational garden space for children to play. As no such space hinders the development of children.

Severe traffic problem in Kalyan West specially from Patri Bridge to Durgadi fort. It is need of the hour to bring measure such as flyover which can direct traffic out of the city without getting mix with city's traffic flow. It will hep in reducing traffic jams and time delay in movement.
