Kalyan-Dombivli is one of the 98 cities shortlisted to be developed as a ‘Smart City’ under the Smart Cities Mission of the Government of India. Kalyan Dombivli is in the process of revising the smart city proposal to participate in the Round-2 of Smart City Challenge.

KDMC appreciates the continuous support from citizens in the preparation of the plan. Further, the corporation invites the views and suggestions of the citizens on the draft proposal prepared for Kalyan-Dombivli. Need solid waste management process. Announce all public lakes & lands as national asset.Easily politicians closing ponds,lakes and convert into real estate lands.It is national disaster. Any conversion need centre/Supreme court permission too.Once Sand,mud,dust,garbage removed 3 times a day our city will be beautiful

Need more check dams,more ponds and lakes,more trees,Use 100 days national labor incentives to remove the tree Prosopis juliflora. It spoils land, grazing animals not feeding them.

need clean and green city ,strictly use CNG for autoriksha, four wheelers, buses and hevy vehicles for avoiding air pollution in kalyan city.

According to the record of accidents in Dombivli MIDC area of chemical factories, I think this MIDC area must be well planned.

The chaos outside the kalyan station should be managed properly as done at thane station. The kalyan bus depot should be situated a little farther from the station to avoid the traffics caused by the buses. Traffic signals in kalyan should start working as the traffic has increased forefold in the past few years. Also there should be more of foreign franchises and luxurious facilities made available in the city for which the residents have to travel to Mumbai
