Kalyan-Dombivli is one of the 98 cities shortlisted to be developed as a ‘Smart City’ under the Smart Cities Mission of the Government of India. Kalyan Dombivli is in the process of revising the smart city proposal to participate in the Round-2 of Smart City Challenge.

KDMC appreciates the continuous support from citizens in the preparation of the plan. Further, the corporation invites the views and suggestions of the citizens on the draft proposal prepared for Kalyan-Dombivli. We hereby request you to provide us your valuable insights and suggestions on the proposal.

Considering the fast the development undertaken and ongoing, ratiocination leads to a definite conclusion that kalian dombivali cities are definitely going to be Smart soon..

10. Keep good condition of footpaths and please use some good material for pothole covers than plastic/ fiber based low quality covers that breaks very often. Please keep use of footpath limited for walking than allowing hawkers to block it by taking bribe/ seating idle in chair. Respective department should be held accountable and punished. 11. Special traffic control attention is required in Shivaji chowk and Sahajanand chowk

9. Please visit other municipalities.. need not travel Singapore, just visit Thane atleast. Every municipality gives more importance to their bus services. It is the first thing you see when you come out of any railway station before indisciplined rickshaws. Kalyan is an extreme exception of this. People do not know from where to get the bus, what are the timings, frequency is paethetic though we could see many buses standing idle near Metro mall.. such a waste of tax payers money

6.It seems KDMC cleaning staff never visits area near railway station, all dustbins are always flooded with residuals or even spreads in area around dustbin 7. Put garbage bins every 500 mtrs 8. Think of one ways in crowded areas, you can easily have one way near station one from station to pushparaj hotel and other from Murbad road to Kalyan. You can easily do it but there is a lack of willingness or perhaps a fear of loosing bribe bank of gov. officer from poor hawkers resists this.

3. Please activate all showpieces (Traffic signal) installed on evwry chowk 4. Focus on completing cement roads that you were not able to complete for past 12 years. By this time, entire Maharashtra's road would have had been built with Cement. But you people could not even develop it for half of the city. 5. Stop allowing further constructions before having additional provision for water. We are still running on same reserves that were built 50+ years back

Such an idiotic plan when city is struggling for basic infrastructures. This plan is nothing but another opportuinity developed by government to fill their pockets through corruption. If you really want to make this aa SMART city: 1. First of all remove corrupt and lazy government employees, KDMC is full of such idiots. 2. KDMC should earn enough money to pay salaries to their teacher staff. Are you not ashamed of wasting money on this kind of stupidness than holding teacher's salaries.
