Kalyan-Dombivli has been short-listed as one of the 100 cities in India to be developed as a SMART City under the SMART Cities Mission. Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) is in the process of preparing a Smart City Proposal to compete in the nation-wide Smart City Challenge. Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation seeks the valuable inputs of the citizens to assist in the preparation of smart city vision. We request you to share your thoughts and aspirations on this discussion forum. The needs, aspirations and dreams of the citizens are to be articulated through the SMART CITY vision. KDMC is looking for active participation of the citizens to understand their likes and dislikes about the city, the city features to leverage for smart city development, and thoughts for optimum utilization of the city resources. The suggestions are welcomed on various smart solutions for urban services like water supply, sewerage, solid waste management; aesthetics, transport, health, e-governance and IT interventions.

Hawker should be removed from the main roads. They are creating problems more problems for free movement of people on the road.

First And Most important is Dispos your solid waste in scentific manner and now Hnon high Court has banned the new construction of the city how is this city going to be smart city all political motive to nominate the city.

1- Garbage Disposal - Need a systematic plan for smart city or we can consider Taloja Site.2. Transportation- Need to improve Better Roads / Metro/ Rail - Connectivity to new mumbai and mumbai 3.Growth Center as per MMRDA plan that need to be execute in reality .4. Need well planed Parks and Grounds in City .

11)create pay n park near to dombivli railway station thakurli side open space currently people are using for urinating n throwing garbage. 12)improve KDMC website many times it doesn't work (attached image)also there is no proper navigation n many resource not available in citizen complaint section. 13)improve public transportation, still rickshaw don't use meters

7) Do plantation on both side of all roads will help to reduce pollution n dust as well as make city look greener & beautiful. 8)Impose penalty on all shops who throw their waste on roads or throw in gutters openings below footpath. 9) install closed dustbins (like in gardens diff shapes) in range of every 500 mtrs. 10) impose fine on all street vendors who litter roads at the end of day (bhaaji galli near station)

3)stray dogs population is so much that half of the roads are filled with dog shit building toilets will not solve this issue definitely :) 4)No Garbage treatment plant. 5)Stop all new constructions/sanctions until you can provide proper infrastructure for existing; already city got crowded due to lots of illegal/few legal constructions in past 3-5yrs span. 6)Stop killing of mangroves in kopar/diva/mumbra by sand mafia's;it already started affecting environment

First thing to be fixed is Air Pollution due to untreated chemical waste in gutters/nullah from industrial area which flows from many residential part till retibander which finally get mixed in creek near thakurli continuing till kopar/diva. due to excreted gases from this polluted water of untreated chemical waste you can get intense oudor even from railway while passing beetween Diva to Kopar. Also there is lot of dust polluting air due to bad & uncleaned roads.

1> Traffic Management, Pathetic roads and Speedbreaker 2> Most of the Corporators have criminal background. 3>Decipline in Traffic, The way we celebrate festivals. 4> Pollution: KDMC Buses, MIDC, Rikshwas and Dust 5> Solid waste management .6> Improving Public transportation. 7> Garbage management :disposal, recycling 8> Better connectivity to Mumbai, Long pending issues like connectivity to NH3 from Patri bridge.9> Attitude of politician gunda 10 >Hording of Birthday, and other wishes.
