Itanagar, situated at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, has been the Capital of India's largest North Eastern state, Arunachal Pradesh since 20th April 1974. It comes administratively under Papum Pare district. There are a number of mixed tribes residing in the city but Nyishi or Nyishings are the major tribe in Itanagar area. However, because of its cosmopolitan culture, Itanagar can be called as Mini India. As a capital town, Itanagar is connected with the rest of the country by road and air communications. Pawan Hans provides Helicopter service between Guwahati and Naharlagun (Itanagar). Regular buses/taxis are available from Guwahati.

Ita Fort which reflects the history of Ahom kingdom, dates back to the 14th century. Itanagar has been identified with Mayapur, the capital of the 11th century AD JItri dynasty. Tourist attractions include legendary Ganga Lake (Gyakar Sinyi) which is 6 kms away from Itanagar, a green forest lake surrounded by primeval vegetation, orchids masses on tall trees, tree ferns provides a small taste of the magnificent forests of the state. Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum provides a kaleidoscope of Arunachal Pradesh and one can see wood carvings, musical instruments, textiles, handicrafts and archeological finds, while a workshop in the Handicrafts Centre specializes in traditional cane manufacture. Other important places of interest around Itanagar is Donyi-Polo Vidya Bhawan a Premier Publics School, North-Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (Nirjuli) - an engineering institute providing innovative way of education, Arunachal University (Doimukh) and Government Piggery and Poultry Farm (Nirjuli), Indira Gandhi Park.

Itanagar has been included in list of Smart Cities Mission by Government of India. Itanagar Administration is determined to get Itanagar selected in the next Round of Smart Cities Challenge and invites all its citizens to participate in the stakeholder consultations scheduled to be held over period of next 3 months. These consultations are planned to be held in 3 phases in accordance to Government of India’s guidelines where-in phase 1 will be focused in identifying citizen issues and aspirations while phase 2 and 3 will focus on analyzing & prioritizing and designing solutions respectively. Very kind support is requested from all citizens of Itanagar for making a robust plan for Itanagar Smart City wherein all the citizen aspirations will be mapped with solutions.

Detecting OVER SPEEDING Vehicles and traffic management:- over speeding cars can be easily detected on camera using programs. We can develop such program. We will have to work on frames or images of camera that it is frequently taking. we will have to analyze these images or frames one by one. V.Matram Modiji, Despite everything the biggest challenge is to fully utilize the talent/youth energy available in the nation. Educated/technically qualified persons must be utilized to educate/train manpower in flexible working hours (informal running), without unnecessary bureaucratic hurdles, resulting in enhancement of productivity/employment. Such centres may also include high-tech areas like IT, Pharma R&D, graphics, etc. We are very poor in proper utilisation our talent pool productively

V.Matram Modiji The holders of demonetized notes must be penalized as holders of fake currency. Database of Note-Counting machine vendors/importers/buyers must be prepared, as all big B. Money holders own these machines. These must be sold only to well identified/traceable buyers. B. Money has been used to buy agriculture/farm land. The B. Money has been illegally shown as agriculture earning and legitimized. At least 30% of PM G. Kalyan Yojna must exclusively be pledged for upliftment of Dalits

V.Matram Long unabated corruption by successive J&K Govts has resulted in huge B. Money being used to fund terror. Corrupt J&K politicians/bureaucrats need to be probed/penalized. The PSU Banks with 70% clientele were only allocated 30% new notes while private banks were unduly favoured. This has resulted in hardships to common man and has given GOI this repute. Most private banks have misused this largesse. This wrong needs to be corrected at he earliest. Yadavs/Kurmis don't deserve OBC Status.

Most of the footpath on both sides of the roads are used by food sellers and homeless immigrants all around India. It is convenient as you can have a secure wall behind plus foot traffic get them more business and also cars conveniently parks on double parking to eat or shot. My suggestion is that make footpath in the centre of the roads with small walls on both side (so people do not cross roads randomly). Like how BRTC in Ahmedabad is created in the middle of the roads.
