To address the growing concerns in the present Accreditation and Ranking systems of the Government of India had constituted a High-Level Committee. This Committee considered the introduction of strategic reforms consistent with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and the need for adopting a simple, trust-based, objective and rationalized system for approval, accreditation and ranking of Higher Educational Institutions with a verifiable and secured centralised database through technology-driven modern systems. Methodologies for facilitating Ease of Doing Business for the stakeholders, duly facilitating students in making more informed choices for selection of institutions/ programmes were also considered by the Committee.

After a series of deliberations, a High-Level Committee has submitted its draft Report on ‘Transformative Reforms for Strengthening Periodic Assessment and Accreditation of All Higher Educational Institutions in India’ to the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

In light of this, MyGov, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, seeks feedback and suggestions from all the stakeholders for the finalisation of the report.

This report has now been placed in the public domain until June 22, 2023.

Accreditation should factor in life skills. Mandatory reading of 1psychlogy book, sales, intuition , worldly wisdom drugs, amazed that how indian hindu women specially getting themselves or allowing themselves to be killed by fraud identities, symbols. how is it that they are missing it. so easy it has to fool any one & no judiciary , state impediments. even rail /airports don't take food from strangers , don't pick up lugggage, don't carry some one elses items. where are the advisories here. y r these not taught in school. before every lesson. what efforts are being made to make them responsible and accountable citizens. Confidence the difference between US developed world v/s metro india v/s rural india. can we not get this right even after 75 years . y the servant /master attitude . are we not a democracy . a child can address the president in equal terms. what about indian child. Humility any 1. Gita chapter 16 talks of qualities, y are we not teaching, testing them ?

One suggestion for strengthening periodic assessments of all higher educational institutions is to establish a comprehensive evaluation framework. This framework should include multiple dimensions such as teaching quality, research output, infrastructure, student outcomes, and community engagement. By incorporating these aspects, the assessment process becomes more holistic, providing a well-rounded understanding of an institution's performance. Additionally, it would be beneficial to involve multiple stakeholders in the assessment process. This could include faculty members, industry experts, alumni, and representatives from the local community. By including diverse perspectives, the evaluation becomes more objective and captures a broader range of insights BY implementing these reforms preodic assessment of higher educational institutions can become more comprehensive, transparent, effective in promoting quality education ●growth

Periodic assessment by naac stoop to a level of high irregularities corruption, aa few HEIs are hugely pumping funds to those visiting naac team to their institutions in order to get good rankings! After all when a HEI is utterly incapable to meet it's standards how & why these HEIs are given this & that grade! We have numbers of such HEIs having hardly the requirements but given higher grades! Such blasphemy has put naac into another. White horse' as minus education what's the need for such gradation & it's wide publications. Only Academic Audit(AA) to gauge the truth involving 3rd party stakeholders like concerned citizens could ameliorate this!.

honarble PM Narendra Modi Looking to future: The massification of higher education is accompanied by a widening of regional disparities, persisting social inequalities and commercialization of the sector. The challenge now is to address the issues of equity and diversity to provide affordable, quality higher education in a period of market-led reforms. It is expected that the national policy on education currently in development will hopefully address some of these concerns.

Being fellow Indians everyone respects and supports the dream of our honorable Prime Minister of India Sri Narendra Modi to make his own state Gujarath prosperous... But the manner in which he has spoiled and continuing to further spoil all the governing systems in the country at the cost of devotion towards his own state... ultimately by making alliance and protecting and empowering the corrupted and criminal political parties in other states in the country under his fatherhood at the level of responsible honorable Prime Minister of India stands as the immatured and highest offence against him, unless solved through personal counseling by his close associates, if not possible, by the responsible political parties who knows his nature better than the citizens being in close association with him in legal paths, the nation may split into further divisions at the cost of his personal pride or lose it's independent development.    Dr. R. Balakrishnaiah, Executive Member, ACFI.
