To address the growing concerns in the present Accreditation and Ranking systems of the Government of India had constituted a High-Level Committee. This Committee considered the introduction of strategic reforms consistent with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and the need for adopting a simple, trust-based, objective and rationalized system for approval, accreditation and ranking of Higher Educational Institutions with a verifiable and secured centralised database through technology-driven modern systems. Methodologies for facilitating Ease of Doing Business for the stakeholders, duly facilitating students in making more informed choices for selection of institutions/ programmes were also considered by the Committee.

After a series of deliberations, a High-Level Committee has submitted its draft Report on ‘Transformative Reforms for Strengthening Periodic Assessment and Accreditation of All Higher Educational Institutions in India’ to the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

In light of this, MyGov, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, seeks feedback and suggestions from all the stakeholders for the finalisation of the report.

This report has now been placed in the public domain until June 22, 2023.

What periodic assessment? Who will do it? Are they they trust worthy? Entire system has become rotten due to corrupt and honesty has become as rare as leopard in India. Corruption is now so deep rooted that only baniya community has developed to live with it. Their motto “Evade tax and pay bribes from those tax evasion and get work done”

I think annual assessment will be beneficial. The main points are the teaching quality, infrastructural facilities and quality of non academic service. The best process will be if the students are selected at random and asked certain questions and based on those questions the assessment and accreditation of the HEIs can be made. If the students are satisfied, then the Institution may be considered as good.

I want to say that on this topic....we should focus on our talent or skill programme rather than focusing on theories ...i klnow that theories is important too but we have to believe in talent first by giving them a extra curricular knowledge in every field. Bcz i feel like that ...the child who put their efforts in board prep and after that their parents decide their futures in onle JEE/NEET like field ,the field which has tough competitions already. We have been punished with the aim of parents none of ours ,parents become our authority in taking decisions for us but its not fair for those who wanna grow themselves in any other field .

My suggestion to this is that all the students should be taught practically. Only theory are been taught and these topics are been learned by students. The students should be taught practically which and who the things work in life. So that by growing up they will understand by themself. We can see many graduation students are moved to other countries due to the effective studies and opportunities. I hope that students are given opportunity by not seeing there marks by seeing ther ability practically. By this students try to do the things practically. And the studies will be effective . By doing this strength will be increases periodically by assesing.

Definitely India has lot of potential in terms of human resource let say IIT, and AIIMS, and IIMS . But I feel like thier emigration to other countries is wher we lack and loose lot of potential. We can't force them to work in India but the Idea of mine is... They should also be given a coumplsy village tour and do some project for that villge .. By that not only they will get new things to learn but also get ko know our nation in deep and most importantly will be sanstaised to some extent. My self Ashish class 12th Thank you

Dear MyGov, Namaste! I am sure you have valuable information already with the great work done by Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman Ji already. Nevertheless, I am sending through an article which is very informative about recent research on Infrastructure Investments. It includes valuable information on choosing projects, benefits of it on many levels to ideas & examples on what helps raise capital for Infrastructure Investments. https://www.mckinsey.com/industries/public-and-social-sector/our-insights/four-ways-governments-can-get-the-most-out-of-their-infrastructure-projects No Nation can be called a Developed Nation without having a Robust Basic Infrastructure everywhere on the basis of which Productivity thrives. With India posting a poignant GDP recently, sky is the limit for the future with such a visionary robust Infrastructure in place!

The foundations are so weak First standardise Indian Syllabus of B.Tech at topic level of all subjects. I have no confidence that the syllabus taught in college is any close to the real world skill demand. Both the Syllabus quality and teaching quality is so shitty. I feel like why I born in this country. I an so angry and frustrated. This education system only produces job suckers not Innovators. I now doubt that the children of education minister study in India.
