To address the growing concerns in the present Accreditation and Ranking systems of the Government of India had constituted a High-Level Committee. This Committee considered the introduction of strategic reforms consistent with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and the need for adopting a simple, trust-based, objective and rationalized system for approval, accreditation and ranking of Higher Educational Institutions with a verifiable and secured centralised database through technology-driven modern systems. Methodologies for facilitating Ease of Doing Business for the stakeholders, duly facilitating students in making more informed choices for selection of institutions/ programmes were also considered by the Committee.

After a series of deliberations, a High-Level Committee has submitted its draft Report on ‘Transformative Reforms for Strengthening Periodic Assessment and Accreditation of All Higher Educational Institutions in India’ to the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

In light of this, MyGov, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, seeks feedback and suggestions from all the stakeholders for the finalisation of the report.

This report has now been placed in the public domain until June 22, 2023.

If any guide for PhD research studies can not complete PhD studies of any student within 5 years, he/she should be dismissed from the university and also should dismiss the advantages to them provided by universities, research institutions or industries. I know that there are no any disciplinary actions are decided yet for guides. And so these people works as they want without any responsibility and realising how student feels. So punishment is required in such cases. These decisions help students to grow properly without any doubt within a speculated time to complete their studies to get the proper job.

We should try to provide students practical knowledge more. Maybe we can give them some technical knowledge like marketing or any work related knowledge that can help them in their skills development, because we have many students with great grades but they don't have practical knowledge to use it or skills. From younger age we should focus on including students in practical work , not only in theoretical knowledge.

Y everywhere except India school pass is considered enuf for a decent living. People opt for internship+ part time to fund their higher education . No rocket science . simple 3 Rs + to show up even if on a stretcher + doing tasks as per SOP + force of habit to cater to regular tasks easily. Most subject Teach but don't test Y a brain should be constipated & memory stretched when the data can be searched in micro seconds Test the source- do they know the original and can they distinguish it amongst net search. Does the school teach /recommends Openness to knowledge and other view points Teach & test observation skills, human skills, awareness, concentration, communication , focus perform under stress, how to quickly recall the right learning and use it. Handle volumes at scale, pace - the SOP - Curiosity - how to improve existing techniques, new methods, what can be done more about it . It is a shame when Indians enrolling abroad in Masters/Phd ask how r we to think ?
