To address the growing concerns in the present Accreditation and Ranking systems of the Government of India had constituted a High-Level Committee. This Committee considered the introduction of strategic reforms consistent with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and the need for adopting a simple, trust-based, objective and rationalized system for approval, accreditation and ranking of Higher Educational Institutions with a verifiable and secured centralised database through technology-driven modern systems. Methodologies for facilitating Ease of Doing Business for the stakeholders, duly facilitating students in making more informed choices for selection of institutions/ programmes were also considered by the Committee.

After a series of deliberations, a High-Level Committee has submitted its draft Report on ‘Transformative Reforms for Strengthening Periodic Assessment and Accreditation of All Higher Educational Institutions in India’ to the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

In light of this, MyGov, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, seeks feedback and suggestions from all the stakeholders for the finalisation of the report.

The national flag isn't merely a piece of cloth; it is a visual representation of the struggles, sacrifices, and aspirations of an entire nation. Each color of the flag holds a specific meaning: saffron signifies courage and sacrifice, white symbolizes purity and truth, and green represents fertility and growth. The Ashoka Chakra in the center represents the cycle of life, righteousness, and progress. When this flag is flown outside every home, it signifies that these values are being upheld by every citizen. One of the primary advantages of the "Har Ghar Tiranga" initiative is its potential to foster a sense of national unity. India is a land of diverse cultures, languages, religions, and traditions. While this diversity is a source of strength, it can also lead to divisiveness if not managed properly. By promoting the display of the national flag, the initiative emphasizes that, despite our differences, we all share a common identity as Indians.

Har Ghar Tiranga: Fostering Unity and Patriotism Through Flags "When I see the Tricolour, my heart swells with pride and patriotism. It's not just a piece of cloth; it's a symbol of our nation's identity, history, and aspirations." The concept of "Har Ghar Tiranga" (Every Home a Flag) encapsulates the idea of every household in a nation displaying the national flag as a symbol of unity, patriotism, and cultural identity. The tricolor flag, with its saffron, white, and green stripes along with the Ashoka Chakra, holds profound significance for the citizens of India. Such an initiative not only serves as a reminder of our shared heritage but also plays a crucial role in nurturing a sense of belonging and unity among diverse communities.

Namaste sir. Our Honourable PM is more interested in Digital India. Centralised Facilities like Resource Centres,Library, Computer Centres are most important factors for smooth running of Higher Education Institutions. Digitization implementations in the above Facilities may be evaluated during Accreditation to ensure the students Convenience. Computer Centres and Libraries must be strengthened with perfect staff structure for 24 hours functioning. Definitely it will add more strength to our NEP in new innovations and skill development. Adding the above important point during Accreditation will make the students Happy. Jai hind.

Accredition should not only depend on the achievements of a college, their quality of teachers and quality of education, but also on their social contribution. Higher education in a college does not mean the college will just help a student get a degree and be ready to get a job. Higher education should also include raising awareness about people and the planet. How does a college help to create responsible youth who are respectful, socially responsible and can contribute towards sustainable development of the society must be considered. Every college must present periodic evidence how they, their teachers and students are collectively creating shared value in our communities and empowering those who are neglected and humiliated all the time.

The issue of corruption is rampant extensively and intensively in our country. It’s also a major impediment to the development of our country. To build, improve and maintain the academic standards of our educational institutions is essential to ensure the quality and standard of our students emanating from our universities and institutions. My only suggestion is to ensure that corruption does not, in any manner whatsoever, creep into our assessment mechanism and the authorised inspection committee. This is in the light of academic institutions managing to get accredited, without having the basic infrastructural requirements, with the attendant consequence on the students passing out from these institutions.
