The National Commission for Women, a Statutory Body set up in January 1992 under the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 has the mandate to safeguard the constitutional and statutory rights of women. The Commission initiates program which aids empowerment and holistic development of women so that they are capable to gain access to opportunities and make their own decisions.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women was launched in 2000 by the U.N General Assembly. It is observed annually on November 25th. International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women seeks to raise awareness about violence against women. This day aims to eliminate violence by removing stigma and encouraging women to speak out against abusers. This day defines violence against women as any act of gender-based violence that results in or is likely to result in, physical, sexual, or psychological harm to women. The goal of this day is to achieve equality, development, and peace. It aims toward the fulfillment of women's and girls’ human rights.

In pursuance of its mandate and in order to achieve the goal of ‘Elimination of Violence against Women', the Commission invites inputs, suggestions, and feedback from all stakeholders through MyGov Portal, with a focus on Breaking the Silence against Gender Violence. The aim of the programme is to promote equality, development, and peace among the masses.

The last date to receive suggestions/input is 24th December 2021.

Sex and health-related education from school to university level should be taught to all students like any other subject compulsorily to all courses. The medical course should be common to all students. The health care course should be from child delivery child growth, adolescence/teenage, adult, then marriage pregnancy, childbirth then child care then old age problems. This will reduce the violence against women.

To eliminate any type of violence against any woman by either other woman or by any man, first, we should allow education and employment with free food, shelter, dress, and all other basic need to all people living in India free of any cost. Both male and female children from school to university level should be allowed to be coeducational and they should be allowed to sit as they please in school and colleges without any division of male and female.

Women had to go through worst situation while availing the company cab facility. There were some worst cases happened in Hinjewadi, Pune city while traveling by company cab. Those cab drivers should get character certificate from Police station in the same city. The company directors should be held responsible if any sexual crime is happening against women. Hard punishment necessary in such cases. Sexual harassment Matters always suppressed by private companies using money & muscle power.

Team managers & other management/administrative executives in some companies always take disadvantages of women working under them. A strict policy should be implemented to prevent the women from sexual/mental harassment in private companies. Police from concerned city should have conversation with female employees & assure them about their safety from the Wolf's working with them.

If the society does not change its mindset, nothing will change. Consider following points1. Women and men should be treated as equals. 2. Women should be viewed as human , just as men are. They are NOT Goddesses, they are NOT witches. Reality is women are normal human beings. Thus, they should be given all rights etc as a human should get. Their mistakes should be forgiven (like a human mistake) or punished if it is unpardonable. But don't put them on extremes(God or witch) while judging them.

There is Rashtriya Mahila Aayog and Ministry of Woman and Child development so the authorities from the ministry and mahila aayog should conduct monthly review meetings with the commissioner of police in each state on all the cases filed regarding violence against woman and children. This will really create pressure on police to take quick actions against offenders and create an awareness among woman and children that they are safe and raise thier voice any time when they come across such cases.
