India Enterprise Architecture (IndEA) Framework along with its Adoption Guide were developed and released in December, 2018. The vision of IndEA is “to establish best-in-class architectural governance, processes and practices with optimal utilization of ICT infrastructure and applications to offer ONE Government experience to the citizens and businesses”.

During implementation of IndEA as well as in the light of advancement of technology, a need was felt to revise the IndEA document and accordingly, after multiple rounds of meetings and detailed deliberations, draft InDEA 2.0 document has been formulated (report given below). India Digital Ecosystem Architecture (InDEA) 2.0 harmonizes and builds upon the architectural frameworks developed during the last few years. While codifying their principles, it provides a pragmatic approach to realize the concept of open digital ecosystems in an integrated and collaborative manner. It recommends a value-driven approach, a focus on capability building and above all, a preference to ‘enabling’ rather than ‘building’. It is an evolving and dynamic framework with continuous improvement as its mantra. The InDEA 2.0 framework enables establishing such a right balance in all the ongoing architectural initiatives and accelerates the realization of the vision of Digital India.

In the light of the above facts, it is requested to kindly review the document and provide your valuable comments/feedback on the draft InDEA 2.0 document latest by February 27, 2022

InDEA is an ambitious framework in so far as digital ecosystems are themselves complex to visualize. For this very reason, Governments are well advised not to try to implement it by themselves. They should enable the ecosystem players to implement different parts. The key steps in implementation include developing a vision for the domain/ State/ Organization, developing a Digital Ecosystem Blueprint consultatively and adopting agile methods for developing architecture and applications.

InDEA requires the coordinated efforts of multiple stakeholders over the medium and long term to produce widespread impact and achieve the goals of interoperability, citizen-centricity, and innovation. Governments need to go an extra mile in creating in building not capacities but competencies. While capacity indicates the potential to perform, competency indicates the existence of empowered multi-disciplinary teams that have the fitness to execute large programs.

it is true that govt is doing much to improve ecosystem,, governance,, infrastructure,, work culture etc. and the govt is heading towards minimum govt, maximum governance . still there are various black spots which should be removed. first of all, it is medical field,,, govt hospitals must be upgraded . more and more facilities should be provided. more than this,, there is a need to curb the increasing cost of treatment in private hospitals. there should be clear govt policy about the fee system of private practitioners and hospitals. At the same time medicine market must be controlled in an effective way. their profit percent should be fixed otherwise it would continue. common people will remain compelled to buy a tablet for 60 ₹ while it's real cost is 3₹ . the game of mrp should be should be ended. development is needed but not at the cost of the innocence of environment and ecosystem. projects should be environment friendly .
