The Government has reviewed the existing draft National Youth Policy, 2014 and prepared a new draft National Youth Policy (NYP). The draft NYP envisages a ten - year vision for youth development that India seeks to achieve by 2030. It is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and serves to 'unlock the potential of the youth to advance India'.

The draft NYP seek to catalyze widespread action on youth development across five priority areas viz. education; employment & entrepreneurship: youth leadership & development; health, fitness & sports; and social justice. Each priority area is underpinned by the principle of social inclusion keeping in view the interests of the marginalized sections.

The Department of Youth Affairs seek comments/views/suggestions on the draft NYP from all stakeholders.

Please refer to the policy document: Draft National Youth Policy (PDF 1.23 MB)

The last date to share your ideas and suggestions is 15th July, 2022.

A large number of young people seek short-term gig work; this includes students seeking part-time work, self-employed carpenters, electricians etc. Simultaneously, there is a demand for gig employees, like part-time labour or sales force in MSMEs, household demand for repairs, and corporate demand for security, housekeeping and other similar jobs. Currently, only a few private companies are serving the gig economy. Encouraging more private organisations to be involved in the effort to match the demand for gig-work to its supply can unlock unemployment opportunities and the huge untapped potential of India's youth.

Sir, Please give talent and skills to students from school level as per each student's capacity.1. Remember to develop Human Resource not Rote learning in Academic institutions. 2. Most important is the practical application of knowledge by changing the Current Examination system that encourages Rote Learning. 3. Reward talented youth and encourage them with scholarship and rewards. 4. Abolish caste records at School and College etc, since due to RTE every child is getting a fair chance to study and excel, so no special perks should be given to ST,SC,OBC, Backward class etc . 5. Reservation in institutes of higher learning and Govt Jobs must be abolished as today every child has access to RTE, health checkup and free mid day meal etc. 6. Last but not the least talent and capabilities of the candidate should be the only factor for Govt jobs, to increase its productivity. All subsidised candidates know that under guise of caste system they will take Govt for granted. Stop giving freebies

16. Probably central government career clusters in jobs, state government career clusters with various levels will help people to know about jobs and apply. High level, medium level low level career cluster can help. For example high level career cluster can reach people . People can call the center and details can drill down by themselves if they want over phone calls. This model need to think and take it. 17. Probably call centre kind jobs exploring available can set up booth or app. Need to think and take it. 18. Encouraging local businesses, innovative businesses , useful business etc. People have to understand business is involved. They can calculate the risk and take accordingly. So that faliurrd or liss can be reduced. Need to think and take it. 19. Soft skills coaching, personal development coaching are good some basics free 9r minimal fees etc. This will help people interact easily with others.

13. Choosing career as their interest also one parameter for youngster to shine and longevity of the career. 14. A person working in one career ( Primary Skill) should have 1 are 2 secondry skill also. That should be hobby. So the job will not get bored while working. Like music, language learning, artistic etc. 15. Another parameter is all people should not go to same subject or same career . For example IT means all people should not go. We have to create career clusters and share with people we jobs available in many areas or professions. Example is Engineer, Doctor, Military, Politics, Artist, Farming, Teaching , In each area itself many subdivision are there. One thing is identify jobs, or career, sharing or reaching people , awareness etc. Still some people not aware state government jobs or schemes , central government schemes jobs etc. Ground level we have to create awareness via media's magazines etc

Dear Sir/Madam/Reader’s, We as a nation has advanced slowly and steadily and we have learnt the stories from our childhood “slow and steady wins the race” that story is fine till everyone is treated equally in reference to students or learner’s but no books have told us that always slow will not win , so from last some years India has also taken up the speed at each level , now to further enhance this I request our government to bring back “Gurukul” system of education where students are build to work for Nation , to work for society and to work for their families, they are the strong characters every individual with unique qualities, we can add to take some good liberalism to amend rules that are Modern for betterment but rest rules should be uniform throughout the country, each district within 10kms reach of every village there should be small, medium and larger Gurukul as per population. Jai Hind Jai Bharat.
