As per the recommendations made in NEP 2020, a set of standards has been developed to ensure that all students at all levels of school education are taught by passionate, motivated, highly qualified, professionally trained, and well-equipped teachers. National Professional Standard for Teachers(NPST) would help in determining the attributes of the teachers at different levels of career pathways. In addition to this, NPST focuses on preparations, practice and performance improvement of all teachers. The standards and related policies are in line with the fundamental principles given in the NEP 2020 to provide high quality education to all. NCTE was mandated by the Ministry to formulate a guiding document and platform for operationalizing NPST.

National Professional Standard for Teachers (NPST) will monitor the design of pre-service teacher education program. This could be then adopted by states and determine all aspects of teacher career management, including tenure, professional development efforts, salary increases, promotions, and other recognitions.

In this regard, a draft document on NPST has been developed by NCTE after incorporating ideas and suggestions received from experts of various domains. The draft document has been released on November 17, 2021 to invite the suggestions and feedback from all stakeholders.

My humble suggestions : 1. Teachers who are teaching foundation classes such as LKG to 5th..they should make the topics more example oriented and should teach more in native language of the region and should inject English time to time in smaller amount to enable kids to understand the concepts and teachings in English plus the native language 2. More Exposure with experienced professionals should allowed while schooling.. for understanding concepts in broader sense. 3. Encourage Questioning

If we see clearly we can see that every teacher was a students first to take lesson from his or her Guru @ and than he learn to become a teacher and to guide student in the right path. we should always respect teachers and think for there betterment in and at any cost because Teachers are more cont

cont.-- let me first explain you how clear it is Teaching is considered one of the most noble professions globally and is associated with social progress. In earlier times, a teacher was the most respected member of society, and only the very best & most learned of all became teachers. Teachers were the center of the education system and were needed to pass on their knowledge, skills, and ethics optimally to students. The new education policy advocates the best and brightest to enter the teach

Cont-- This is true and there is no doubt in it It is a well-known fact that the Teachers make all the other professions possible. But unfortunately, the teaching professionals have been facing grave career-related challenges at multiple levels. On the career-growth front, teachers generally stay in the same position for 10 to 20 years, which is a very long period compared to other careers. In addition, there is a lack of mentorship and knowledge sharing between other departments cont--

Sir, one cannot give much than that of in its own basket. Hence, theoretical & practical knowledge of teachers, in context of the activities given in the text books, must be accessed by an expert committee. The marks obtained in degree courses reflecting in the marks-sheet must be cross checked with the actual knowledge of the teachers. In addition to the closed chamber system of teaching, there is need to be introduced 'Gurukul' system of study running in open ground, without pen and paper.
