India needs a National Electricity Plan 2047 to define - How India's Electricity sector will be in 100 Years of Independence.
National Railway Plan 2050 can be taken as template.
"Ease of Living" for Electricity should be defined - looking at the best practices across the world.

China has World's Best Electricity related Infrastructure. India should setup Expert committee to list out Best Practices around the world in Transmission.
For example, India should adopt Ultra-high-voltage electricity transmission to cut down Transmission losses.

A law should be made that - No state government can announce Free electricity to any sections of the society. If they want to provide Free electricity - it has to be accounted in the State budget and Discoms should be paid in advance.
For example, To support Free electricity to farmer Discoms should be paid in advance by State to Discoms & Discoms should given same treatment as any Private company.

Only way to save electricity in the country is to Highlight usage of the Electricity in an Industrial complex & houses.
Individual should be able to choose his Electricity budget and a Big display board inside house will show - is he going beyond the budget.
Mobile app in the phone also should show current electricity usage and Budget set at the start of the month.

An amendment to law should be made in all state governments that all New Apartment complex should build in such a way that - Individual houses can choose the Electricity, Cooking Gas & Water service provider.
Currently, Apartment design does not allow Individual houses to choose service provider - like we can choose Broadband provider.

Conduct International competition every year to report loopholes in Indian Electricity IT systems.
International Whitehat hackers will be invited to attack Indian Electricity Grid, IT systems of Private & Public sector Discoms, Power Generation facilities etc.
Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant was infected with Virus and Mumbai Grid was supposed to be attacked by Chinese.
Send Emails to employees, which looks like genuine & if clicked they will be informed & has to go through training.
