Make individual tax payers (above 10lakh) to install Solar panels at there home without fail. Year on year everyone should be self reliant on power at least around 200 to 250 units. The same thing should true for small-scale, medium and large scale industries.

In continuation to my previous suggestion,
Reuse the leftover and waste govt. lands for power generation units, like road dividers (especially of highways),either sides,waste land, of railway tracks (it can also be converted to beautiful gardens), left over lands in airports, all other government institutions & along the stretch of coastal lines (roads)from east to west. Deserts,waterfalls,High altitude Mountains,hot areas, dams,coastal areas,backwaters, Seas & Oceans, should be sources of power

All safety measures shouldwbe taken in ref to all big hydroelectric project. In recent papt a leakage of mansarovar dam in Tehri ukd proved so hazardous.
