Under Section 3 (3) of the Electricity Act, 2003, the Central Government may, from time to time, in consultation with the State Governments and the Central Electricity Authority, review or revise, the National Electricity Policy. In compliance of section 3 of the Electricity Act 2003, the Government of India had notified the National Electricity Policy on 12th February 2005.

2. According to Section 66 of the Electricity Act “the Appropriate Commission shall endeavor to promote the development of a market (including trading) in power in such manner as may be specified and shall be guided by the National Electricity Policy”.

3. The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) and State Electricity Regulatory Commissions (SERCs), in the discharge of their functions, shall be guided by the National Electricity Policy under Section 79 and Section 86 of the Electricity Act, respectively.

4. In this regard, it is informed that the Ministry of Power vide Order dated 12.04.2021 has constituted an Expert Committee under the chairmanship of Shri Gireesh Pradhan, Ex-Chairperson, CERC to prepare and recommend National Electricity Policy (NEP), 2021 (copy enclosed). The Expert Committee is required to submit its suggested draft NEP 2021 within two months.

5. The National Electricity Policy, 2021 needs to play an important role in deciding the future of the power sector with renewed reform measures for the economic growth of the country. The main focus is expected to be on decarbonization, power market development, distributed generation in view of rooftop solar and other reliable new technology, etc. The policy may be consumer centric i.e., giving choice to consumers, better services, reliable and quality power, etc. Security of supply, cybersecurity, resilience in the power sector in view of the disasters management, securing supply to all consumers but in particular, all the essential loads in the event of any crisis, etc. are others areas of importance.

6. The suggestions of the various stakeholders including State Governments, Financial Institutions, Industries, consumers, etc. are very important for the future of the power sector. It is requested to submit your brief suggestions along with the suggested specific formulations, which you feel that need to be incorporated in the NEP 2021, in around 1000 words on the MyGov portal.

Please increase generation of renewable power generation. due to transmisssion lines as losses high so every place should mini power generation plant like solar farm, wind farm then losses decreases.

Contd---To create awareness electrical department with the help of contractors ascertain energy consumption for a particular installation with high monthly bills.The gadgets like water pump,air conditioners,old refrigerator might be consuming more.A small plug in gadget with electronic metering should be temporarily fixed for a month or a week on high consumption gadgets to ascertain fault or for replacement if the consumption is high. राष्ट्रीय स्तर अनधिकृत दवाईयों व आक्सीजन का स्टाक कर फिर्काप्रस्त वयान निर्भय हो कर दे रहे हैं क्या किसी सजा के हकदार नही है इसके बावजूद मंत्री पद बने रहेगे यदि हम इनके खिलाफ कार्यवाही करने में असमर्थता मेहसूस कर रहे हो तो हमें पुरे देश में आपात काल लगाकर इन सभी फिर्काप्रस्त को जेल का रास्ता दिखाना चाहिए. ये आपदा अस्थायी है तो इसका निवारण भी उसी लेबल पर होना चाहिए न कि अतिरिक्त निर्माण व्दारा जैसे बिस्तरों की कमी को स्थानीय होटल, धर्मशालाओं को अपने कब्जे में लेकर टेंट हाउस से सामान लेकर

अभी करोना की दुसरी लहर चल रही है पहली लहर हम क्लरोक्वीन गोलियों के निर्माण में युध्द स्तर लगे थे. सारे विश्व को गोलियां भी दी. दुसरे दौर में रेडमेयर इंजेक्शन व आक्सीजन के पीछे विश्व ने पुरी शक्ति लगा दी.और विश्व अपने मित्र भारत की सहायता भी कर रहे है. हम से कुछ भुले व नजरअंदाज हो रहे हैं जिनका खामराज भूगत रहेहैं हमें इस तरफ भी ध्यान देना चाहिए 1. दवाईयों की कालाबाजारी करने वालों के विरूद्ध रसुका की कार्यवाही कर रहे हैं.

Sir Electrical Supply in societies should be given only through individual meter as builder are charging more amount from flat owners. Only individual meter system should be adopted and option of more than 50% system may be removed.

More use of solar energy by providing low cost solar panels in rural as well as urban areas. The problem of solar energy can be reduced by wind mills.

In today's connected world, cyber security is one of the biggest threats and India as a nation must be prepared to protect Electrical Grids and other Critical Infrastructure, esp IoT implementations. The Grids and other such Industrial Military complexes uses OT/IT technology which can be many a times discover Internet using OSInt ( Shoden etc), and can be of risk.

Pls give state government the power to produce the electricity. If state government allowed to generate or install electricity plant the state government will get revenue and income. India is a socialist country so don't try to privatization electricity.
