Our country is doing “extremely well" on electrification with nearly 85% of the country’s population having access to electricity.

Each house must have Solar plan and must utilise for daily chores.
What if electricity panels are created for production on small scale ,utilized by each house. Electricity will be saved and consumption will be economic.
Creative ideas must be experimented .

Firstly , no political party should be allowed to announce “Free Electricity “in their poll campaign . If quality of service has to be maintained it will involve some cost .

National Electricity Policy 2021 is posted for comments.
In 5.2.1 it says to provide 1000 units per capita in 2012. To meet this demand we need to add 100000 MW generation capacity in 2002-12.
This shows our planning level.
Perhaps these lines are just copied from some 20 years old document and we are planning for future on these base data.
Target of providing availablity of 1000 units is still a target after lapse of 10 years.
So, what we would achieve if our policy document is faulted

Sir this should also be checked that clean and energy efficient bulbs are used. More and more research should be done in this regard and energy efficiency should be our main goal.

Sor focus should be more on using non conventional and renewable sources of energy. Also petrol and coal reserves should be protected and conserved for future generations. PLF should be focussed on and losses of electricity boards should be reduced. FDIs should be attracted towards this sector so that better technology can be used and loss of electricity can be reduced.
