The General Aids to Marine Navigation along the Indian Coast is administrated by Directorate General of Lighthouses and Lightships (DGLL) as per Lighthouse Act, 1927. Over the period of time maritime sector has undergone massive change. There have been enormous technological developments in the field of Aids to Marine Navigation. To incorporate the global best practices, technological developments and India's International obligations in the field of Aids to Marine Navigation, the Draft Aids to Navigation Bill 2020 is prepared to replace existing Lighthouse Act 1927.

The Draft Aids to Navigation Bill (to replace Lighthouse Act 1927) is hereby circulated for comments of all concerned.

Why I am suggesting #MakeInIndia Aids to Navigation it will reduce the cost .I personally invited some manufacturing company in Aid to Navigation and they accepted and give proposal which need to be discussed to take further.Once we manufacturing in India the cost will reduce,employment will generate once those factory setup in India .Each Small owners & state Maritime board can install those ATN which is next to Impossible at present to install Foreign manufactured ATN which is huge costly..

There will be challenges in front but if we can remove those hurdles our rivers,creeks have huge potential. By one country mistake #coronavirus India have got opportunities to develop in all sectors and huge businesses opportunities a head .Proper planning needes and where ATN will play vital role .It is not one day Aids to Navigation Bill's amended and than again 70 years .There need to be proper department where each suggestions scrutinized,ppl shall be invited to meet with body to suggest.

There are N number of suggestions but to give suggestions there shall be a body who shall take positively not like This Government under leadership of Shri Narendra modi ji they want so we will do and next Govt comes all ammendment again Zero.So do provide a mail I'd on our mails register we will give suggestions where needed for creek ,river Navigation need to be improved.We are ready to come out and give ground reality which never expect Modiji or Ministry of Shipping-GOI comes out & do

Since under leadership of Shri @narendramodi @PMOIndia there is huge development in rivers & which can act as major source of Navigation in generating business opportunities for the river belt residing Indians.We need proper Buoys system in each river which shall be under maritime boards ,There shall be AIS monitoring system installed in existing Maritime Board HQs & all Maritime board vsls must have AIS on board. We have to upgrade old age systems prevailing in all Maritime Boards like MMB,GMB?

ATN this is one of the required bill & shall be amended once in 21/2 The reasons 1-India is fast growing country and we are expecting more and more major & minor ports will develop and for safe navigation we need proper TSS even in river . 2-There shall be proper Training Institute to train Pilots who navigate through the port & River channels. 3-There shall be river pilot seprate training for ATN and Seafarers operating Maritime boards register vsls shall be given training

We should make two separate department of under water and surface water department in Navigation Bill 2020. This will improve us in economy, defense,environment and tourism .

Ample research scope should be available for under water defense mechanism in Navigation Bill 2020 because in future only under water and space supremacy will matter among countries. We must increase our capacity in under water.
