International Day of Yoga is also called as the World Yoga Day. The idea of International Day of Yoga was first proposed by the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, during his speech at the UNGA, on 27 September 2014. United Nations General Assembly declared 21st of June as the International Day of Yoga on 11th of December in 2014. Since 2015, 21st June is always celebrated as the International Day of Yoga all over the world.

This year, on the occasion of International Day of Yoga, Ministry of AYUSH has decided to invite suggestions/ideas/plans/proposals from Youth/ Youth Clubs/Senior citizens/Professionals/State Governments/Yoga Schools etc. for Celebrating the International Day of Yoga-2017, which can be undertaken on that day.

The last day of submission of ideas is 20th March, 2017.

Honorable PM modi can launch YoGA marathon calendar , that could be organized once a month or once in two month across nation. It will help us to spread Yoga awareness and health habits in our masses for a better healthy india.

To make this day phenomenal I propose ; * PM Modi should start a online " MYFAMIYyogaasanpic " contest ,where every Indian citizen is asked to post a " Family Yoga picture" performing different Asanas. Even it could be "MyofficeYogaAsanpic" contest , where entire office collectively doing different yoga asana. Additionally , they could challenge 5 other Families and Offices to do the same. This contest could be done for next30 Days. Theme; "Har din yoga , Raho jevan bhar neerog "

#InternationalDayOfYoga2017 organize a national level competition on yoga and give the opportunities to winners to showcase their ability at the place where main programme going to be held.

#InternationalDayOfYoga2017 make some CD's having videos of yoga and sell them in market so people may see and practice yoga. the specific stalls may be set up at schools or students may asked to distribute it. as this time it is available on net, but is it correct is the question and another is that it costs high from downloading from net.

Yoga diwas is celebrated for a day, thereafter everyone forgets about it. It should start at least 1 week prior and all the public parks should be used to start the process every morning for a week from 4-6 in the morning, the way ramdev baba holds the shivir. This would make it massive and more people would participate and benifit. Whole program should be aired from haridwar by ramdev baba and displayed on massive screens in every park.Concluding day should be called the International Yoga day.

Sir, 1. we should invite chief guest on yoga-day to perform yoga along with our respected President or PM as we use to do on Republic day, 26 Jan. 2. In villages yoga should be promoted by some mean. 3. Yoga subject should be added in MBBS/medical syllabus. 4. In school, during sports day, yoga should teach to students. 5. A yoga channel by Doordarshan should be launch on this occasion.

अंतराष्ट्रीय योग दिवस २०१७-हम सब जानते है कि योग के समान अन्य कोई तकनीक नहीं है जो हमारे स्वास्थ्य को को बेहतर रख सके| अत: योग को हम एक विषय बना सकते है, जिस प्रकार हम बचपन से ही पहली कक्षा से ही महाविधालय स्तर तक हिंदी को अनिवार्य रूप से पढ़ते है,और आज हम सभी जानते है कि हिंदी देश के अंदर सबसे ज्यादा बोले जाने वाली भाषा है, उसी प्रकार यदि हम योग को पहली कक्षा से ही अनिवार्य विषय बना दे तो हमारा पूरा भारत योग को अपने जीवन में अपनाने लगेगा|और इस प्रकार पुरे वर्ष हम अंतराष्ट्रीय योग दिवस मनाएगे

Yoga Instructors should be registered with Ministry of Ayush and they may be offered some honorarium or some stipend to promote yoga or such NGOs which promote yoga and indian systems of medicine may be encouraged offering some incentives so that the tradition of yoga reaches to one and all and across the geographical barriers.

Sir, God has gifted our country the unity among our citizens... it comprises different cultural and linguistic identities... many a times we could notice.. the young generation of our nation employed in private, public and Govt sectors... may be... due to heavy burden of work...may undergo stress... Majority of our nations population is highly educated, belongs to working class...this Yoga may be somewhat helpful to relive them from temporary stress...be in call centers, schools or colleges
