In order to make the Union Budget-making process participative and inclusive, the Ministry of Finance has sought inputs from citizens for the last several years. This year too, the Ministry looks forward to hearing from you on your suggestions for the Union Budget which will be presented in the Parliament in the upcoming session.

Citizens from all walks of life are welcome to be a part of this democratic exercise. You can submit your suggestions either directly in the comments box or attach a PDF document.

We seek your valuable ideas to continue the tradition of the Union Budget incorporating the citizens’ aspirations.

#Health Most of the food items are packed in plastic cover (such as biscuit, snacks, risk etc) and sold by grocery shops. There should be food safety number in the cover such as 1, 5, 7. Please make it as mandatory to pack food items in food safety plastic cover and mention in the cover itself as manufacturing date, MRP etc

Respected Madam, my suggestions for the budget 2020 focussing on increasing consumer cash flow and savings. The basic exemption limit and 80C savings limit was previously revised in 2014. An increase in the cost of living and inflation eats into the growth. There is no real growth in earnings. However, taxes remain high for the middle income class/ consumer class.

Respected sir/mam I have a startup related to solve some problems of common citizen and also supports women safety at the same time. It will prove as a major step in digitizing India. Firstly I want to counts the benefits of the startup for the govt., the start up will generate directly and indirectly nearly 5 lakh jobs with in a year depending on the pace of action. This startup will surely generate 45-60k crores of revenues every year. The profit can be used to run many govt. Initiatives

Currently we have tax relaxation up 2.5 lac income yearly ,it should be extended up to 5 lac. And govt give salaried person dearness allowance that expense in dearness why government Levi tax on dearness allowance. .D. A.shouldnot count for taxable income.

Generation of Government Employment to Youth by encouraging retirement through proposed "Respectable & easy Retirement" policy for senior employees who are settled and crossed age 50, for generation of vacancies in Government sector/entities for the younger generation of this nation. When we buy vehicle and do registration in Traffic office we are orders for depositing road tax to drive on road but why we should charged toll tax? Toll tax should be waived off.
