The draft—The Indian Institutes of Foreign Trade Bill, 2022—stated that the director would be the chief executive officer of every institute, and would be responsible for proper administration. Rakesh Mohan Joshi, Director at the Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM), Bangalore, said that this status to IIFT would provide more autonomy and grant, and recognition to these institutes.

No doubt IIFT is an excellent institution of national importance. The draft - The Indian Institutes of Foreign Trade Bill 2022 may provide more autonomy and enhance the economic development of our country to cope up with developed countries. At present only three institutes are there. Hope this draft may help in encouraging some more in our country . This draft is a feather in the cap of India's 75 years of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

IIFT is no doubt an institution of national importance. Actually it was before even if we are going to declare it now . Government should focus on its research should reach the common people. It should provide online short courses for international trade .it will enable more small scale investors to grow up globally.
