Main causes of river pollution are Industrial and Sewage effluent discharged into rivers. Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), where installed, malfunction after some time and sewage again discharged into the river. Govt should plan such a mechanism so that treated water instead of outflown into river it should be lifted in canal for irrigation facilities. Benefit: When STP stop function, polluted water would flow in canal and farmers would demonstrate and the authority would repair STPs in pressure.

Sir, I have two small views on clean ganga mission. 1 एक तो नदियो मे हम जो सामग्री फैंकते है उसमे ज्यादातर वे सामग्री होती है जिस मे पूजा का सामान पैक होता है, मतलब उन् पर कुछ ऐसे चिन्ह बने होते है जिन्हें हम सामान्य कूड़ा करकट के साथ नहीं फेंक सकते।(you know what i mean) 2 And the second one is that there is no ganga in my city, rather that there is proper sewage system availible. So we should have to devlope proper sewage system parallel to the ganga.
