We have the technology to convert all the Bio degradable sewage into Bio Gas and then clean it to make it as good as Natural gas. This Methane can then be supplied by pipe a PNG; to all homes for cooking, this will clean Ganga and save LPG gas as well as give jobs to more than 5 lakhs people directly and to more than 25 lakhs people indirectly. The environment will become safe and clean. Lalit kumar Singhania 09301193400 or mail "lalit1954@gmail.com"

Dear sir,the only way to save ganga ma perpetually from dirt and filth is to create a parallel waterway/river from Brahmputra to Rajasthan by drawing a long term plan and involving the concerned states. The artificial river will have multiple dams for hydro power generation and 1000 yards on both banks for forest cover and creation of tourist parks, mini townships so as to relocate cities on banks of ganaga. The multiple benefits would be saving population from floods, employment, power gen.

In my opinion again, the local river of my village/town is my 'Ganga'. Unless we learn to keep our local rivers clean we will be unable to keep the Ganga clean. Hence, every river of the country needs to be kept clean and that needs to be the focus, not merely the Ganga.

it is litrely impossible to clean rivers. you cannot clean the river but you can clean an amount of water in the river. you can do this for drinking purposes. the only thing you can do is sedimentation. that is impossible. this may work out. adding lime and allum. it makes all particles heavier and it falls down.

In the process cleaning, the investment should be more on stopping the river from getting polluted. River by itself is clean, once we stop polluting it, it will automatically become clean.

We have a solution from our very own country to clean the Ganga and other rivers. It is called Nualgi (http://www.nualgi.com/). It has been tried and tested in Bangalore in India, and in the US. Check out these links for more details. http://www.livemint.com/Money/zsQdQNmEkbfaKBKiavi5QN/A-new-way-to-clean-up-the-rivers-lakes.html http://cseindia.org/userfiles/sampath.pdf http://www.ndtv.com/south/bangalore-firms-solution-for-cleaning-polluted-us-lakes-497569

While manufacturing Plastic consider adding something that will allow for faster degradation of plastic and also add additives that will make it unpalatable to animals by virtue of smell/taste/texture etc which may ensure cleaner environment and prevent animal deaths due to plastic consumption.
