People resisted the use of computers as they were scared they will loose their jobs ,now there will be resistance for online and distance education as Teachers will be afraid that they will loose their jobs. Private institution and universities will be afraid of distance education, as if its encouraged then the seats in colleges and universities will not fill. Whether we like it or not the next big change which is about to happen in Online and distance education which will replace class rooms

Traditional education system in India has been able to produce less than 5% of skilled manpower in India, which shows how efficient the current system is. The answer for skilling is online/ distance &Vocational education. Per Article 38 of the Constitution state shall provide opportunity for all citizens to realise their full potential which is possible by distance, online learning and vocational education only. There will be resistance for this from vested interests which should be overcome

I have tried to post my comments on the Open and Distance learning forum. I am not able to post further comments as it says I have exceeded the number of posts. Please ensure there is freedom for citizens to put unlimited number of posts. Today I note some persons are so scared about promoting open and distance learning education, that they are commenting to rename the ODL forum under new education policy discussions to some other name. Please encourage Distance education for equality per law
