Respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, GST has to be marketed and Government has a big role in communicating the law since in the absence of clarity, there will be chaos. Various countries across the world experienced inflation since there would be a jump in tax rates. However, over a period of time, it would settle down. Customers will face 'sticker shock' when they see the rates of tax in the invoice even though GST eliminates the cascading effect of tax.

Respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Assuming, 18% is split into CGST of 6% and SGST of 12%, many States will lose revenue and may not agree (including Tamil Nadu which has a VAT rate of 14.5%). Assuming they all agree, the compensation claims on the Centre would be significant which will affect the fiscal position and other great plans which you have for development of this country. The solution should be to leave the rate to GST Council and accept the demand for dropping 1%.

Respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Please do not accept the 18% cap as part of the Constitution. In taxation history, the rate of tax is a matter that should form part of the tax legislation and not the constitution. Fixing 18% as part of the Constitution would choke the Government when there could be reasons for raising revenue and resources and going back the Parliament for an amendment with 3/4th majority would again be an issue.

Dear Prime Minister, I would like to suggest an idea which I expect if you can cover during your Maan ki Baat. To easily locate a toilet why don't we develop a Apps which shows nearest toilet with direction. This apps will be very helpful for our Mothers and sisters. Regards, Rakesh, Hong Kong
