The gov should issue special cards for travelling in buses like BEST and other public transport buses and trains. These cards will have no authentication. The customer can refill these cards online with the card number. The customer will not have to pay through debit card since the bus conductor has to ask for the PIN from each and every customer. In order to purchase ticket in buses, the conductor needs to have a machine which will directly deduct money from the card. For details, see TAP CARD,US

sir,we can think to build the double decor coach..like BEST buses in Mumbai.this will save 50% cost in running trains. This can be possible by increasing coach height & slightly change in electric connectivity in local trains. Also we have to introduce LED bulb in trains. And window size should be increased so there is no requirement of fan in open air.

Railways can divide the platform in to platform blocks - e-g Tambaram platform 8 will have 29 sections - each can be coded TBM 801 - TBM 829 and each block sold for development at a cost. Idea is some companies will be interested to advertise in the platform block where the AC coach comes. Others may target unreserved. So in busy junctions, this will be a non fare revenue earner. Platform block based vending licence can also be given for targeted products.

Chair car trains having the interiors like that of an airplane can be started for day journeys where berths are not needed sleeping. These trains can cater to specifically business class passengers who need to travel for distances upto 8 hours. The coaches can be designed such that people can work on their laptops or other things while seated.

Dear Railway Authorities,
Indian Railway can make a sustainable source of income by converting parallel strips of unused land along its railway tracks into "VEHICLE PARKING FIELDS" Lot of land is inside major towns and cities. People need a safe and easy parking space for their HEAVY AND LIGHT vehicles. This could be annual membership based, smart card accessible and smart card could be used in several cities/or throughout India. Think about it please!
