Govt. should send out press releases on sportspersons performing well in international/ world tournaments at any level - junior, cadet, school, college, seniors etc. regardless of whether they bag the medals, even if they come fourth or fifth or improve upon their personal best, - if PIB releases a press release then mainstream media will pick it up and disseminate to the large audience. Otherwise they will not bother. It is important to give motivation to our sportspersons.

1) Marks should be given for playing sports at school and college levels - otherwise why will students slog and why should parents be bothered to send their students to sports activities. It should also be monitored to ensure that parents do not just procure a certificate for getting that marks. 2) procedures for import of sports equipment should be streamlined to ensure that sportspersons do not end up running from pillar to post to secure clearances.

1) revive the school & collegiate sports by infusing professional management into it. We need a pool of 1 million active sportspersons in order to even think of an olympic medal. 2) scout for talent from rural areas, villages, tribal hamlets, children of construction workers, nomadic workers etc. 3) Enforce the sports governance code - it should be rid of politicians at all levels and there should be no conflict of interest between coaches who double up as selectors/ officials etc.

1) throw out politicians from sports federations and invite professionals/ ex-sports players to run the federations in a transparent manner. 2) allow ex olympians to open up academies for which govt. to provide reasonable support in terms of land etc. 3) give incentive for private leagues in all sports so that more and more players take part. 4) allow FDI in sports management, sports infrastructure, private leagues etc. 5) expand the scope of CSR activities in sports

1. Enforce sports code.
2. Increase the sports budget. In comparison to other countries, India's sports budget remains miniscule.
3. Proper monitoring of funds so that it reaches the athletes.
4. Proper guidance from national sports federations to state federations instead of petty politics to cling on to the seat.

We have 2 promote all sports at all levels. I am a natl. hockey player from blore & currently pursuing my B.Tech from a clg in noida affliated to aktu, but its vry painful that the natl. game has almost nil presence in d ncr region of noida, there isn't any facility or club 4 hockey unlike d situation in bangalore, im forced 2 leave the sport, the youth is very talented but isn't able to prove it due to unavailability of resources, i recommend to make sports or skill dvlpmt. compulsory in all clgs

Last few years has seen the performance of the NSFs be heavily scrutinized; surprisingly the role of the state sporting stakeholders remains neglected. The attached paper argues for the adoption of good governance practices by the state stakeholders (State Olympic Association, State Sporting Council, State Sporting Federation and SAI) and argues for the need to establish a coordination agency to promote an integrated approach. Start work from ground zero. Improve the level of infrastructure for sports at college and school level. Give sports facility to villages and rural areas.
Dont give MONEY for equipments and other facilities. Instead of this give equipment and direct facilities by the govt to the required one.
As i studied in sliet (centre funded institute). Where we cannot play in SAC(student activity centre) from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm. As these indoor games eg.TT should be available for whole the day.
