In the recently concluded Rio Olympics 2016, India sent its largest ever Olympic contingent comprising of 118 athletes. Despite the large number of athletes, the Indian contingent managed to bag only 2 medals in the Games viz., one Silver medal in Badminton and one Bronze medal in Wrestling. Considering the size of our country it can be said that the present performance was not up to the country’s potential. Views/suggestions are invited on what specific steps need to be taken to realise full sporting potential of India in forthcoming Olympics in 2020, 2024 and 2028.

all sport participants are valuable to the nation; early selection at the grass root level will make the contingent strong to perform during Olympic .The gram panchayat and schools must select the children at their early age and train them accordingly

Sir we need to introduce yoga and meditation for Olympic contingents to reduce their stress level to improve performance. At least 20 minutes meditation before a sporting event will work wonders.we need the help of sports psychologists to motivate them to perform well.

Abolish the ministry for sports and make sports integral to education. Unless until education includes sports, it is not a valuable type of education. This has been the reason for India to fail miserably in the olympics. Abolish all boards of education around the country. This is the first step to progress. Build independent school districts, community schools and colleges around the country. India's educational system has become a complete waste. High time for a complete overhaul.

there are highly talented people staying in rural areas. They do not know the procedure to participate in National and International level games. There shold be a open source to spread these kind of information down the line. Every talented citizen shold know the steps and place to show their talent.
