A huge amount of Govt. money is spent on subsidy of petroleum products. The Govt. had to spend Rs. 1,39,869 crore on account of subsidy on petroleum products in the year 2013-14. As, the indigenous availability of crude Oil and LPG is limited, these are imported in huge quantities to fulfill the demand of the country.  As Govt. provides domestic LPG and PDS Kerosene on subsidised price, this results in huge subsidy burden on Govt. Due to presence of dual pricing(subsidized and non-subsidized) in LPG and SKO, there is a diversion of subsidized LPG and Kerosene into commercial usage. Although Govt. has taken several initiatives to reduce this diversion of subsidized LPG and PDS Kerosene, public participation is solicited to suggest ways for reducing diversion in LPG and PDS Kerosene.

You are invited to suggest ideas to reduce diversion and the subsidy burden on account of LPG and Kerosene.

To motivate LPG customers to give up their LPG subsidy, we would like to suggest that those LPG customers who give up their LPG subsidy, should be given ‘preferred time LPG refill delivery' service at no cost. This incentive which will not add any burden on the oil marketing companies but would help the government to motivate and add more LPG customers to the "No LPG Subsidy List" and would give the much needed boost to widen the reach of this initiative.

Pressurized bio gas bottling should be made mandatory for all the cattle farming companies, milk producing companies. Hotels and restaurants should be mandated to transport their bio waste to such plants. These Organizations must provide these gas and the manure so produced at a govt capped profit basis. This way 3 problems will have a long term solution; Low cost organic manure, Better waste processing, and offset of LPG requirement.

It is a good idea to give up gas subsidy. But what are our MPs sacrificing for the country's sake? They pass an increase in their own pay with just an "Aye" in Parliament, and enjoy lifetime pension after serving for just one term. Defence personnel who risk their lives do not get pension after 5 years service, and have to wait for 20 years. Other govt employees also have to wait for 20 years. Shouldn't charity should begin at home?

Sir, mujhe lagta hai ki...har insaan ka ek fuel card (like ATM card) hona chahiye, jisme per month fuel purchase ka ek limit hona chahiya..jisko cross karne par..sibsidised fuel nahi milega..aur ye card sabhi petrol pump par mile..jisko lene ke liye vehicle ke RC book ka copy aur ek..PP size photo dena hoga..aur us card ko lene ke liye ek nominal charge ho..jo ki..5 yrs ar renew karna padega...is se..govt ko..accha revenue bhi milega..aur..fuel ka fizul kharch bhi kam hoga.
