purpose of subsidy - to make sure the poor and middle class people get access to gas and encourage them to use healthy ways to cook.
misuse of subsidy - yes, people are selling the subsidised cylinders. but we also know that they want to get the subsidy, they fear losing the subsidy.
hence, government should form a team to check if the people are using them or not. and should cancel/ ban the subsidy of the connection " using Aadhar Card as reference.

The limit to access the refill of gas cylinder to be increased from 6 months to one year. Many consumers who are not even utilizing the cylinder in 6 months have to go for supplying information to avoid blockage. e-Booking for cylinders and maintaining the individual records of LPG accounts can further strengthen the system.
Link consumer information with e-KYC so that repeat information can be avoided.
Make it hassle free and simplified by having single form for all companies.

As USA is not dependent on Saudi Arabia and other oil producing nations, we should strive to gain self sufficiency to get rid of oil deficit and dependency.

1. Subsidy amount for LPG should be fixed, instead of depositing difference between actual price and subsidised price, government should deposite a fixed subsidy and the aim should be to reduce the amount slowly and gradually 2. Those who have surrendered gas subsidy should be given somelucrative tax advantages. 3. Government should heavily subsidese gober gas, solar energy initiative at locality level and provide expertise so that the projects become viable and attractive

Alternative methods like Gobar Gas, Solar Energy utilisation by burning electric stoves, Bio Fuel consumption are the alternatives. Mainly these should be practiced in Urban areas as it is thickly populated and there is high volume of consumption. Solar, Bio fuel are two important aspects Urban population can rest for Rural population.

Saving the fossil fuels is not an option. We have to find out a substitute for that because the tendency of using it on a large scale will never decline. From Economic point of view Subsidies could not be stopped giving because a lot of people will have to pay heavy amount for fuels/gases which could result in crises of their monthly budget. The only way to stop this is using the power of electricity on a large scale. I know this isn't a good idea but you could think it as a substitute.
