A huge amount of Govt. money is spent on subsidy of petroleum products. The Govt. had to spend Rs. 1,39,869 crore on account of subsidy on petroleum products in the year 2013-14. As, the indigenous availability of crude Oil and LPG is limited, these are imported in huge quantities to fulfill the demand of the country.  As Govt. provides domestic LPG and PDS Kerosene on subsidised price, this results in huge subsidy burden on Govt. Due to presence of dual pricing(subsidized and non-subsidized) in LPG and SKO, there is a diversion of subsidized LPG and Kerosene into commercial usage. Although Govt. has taken several initiatives to reduce this diversion of subsidized LPG and PDS Kerosene, public participation is solicited to suggest ways for reducing diversion in LPG and PDS Kerosene.

You are invited to suggest ideas to reduce diversion and the subsidy burden on account of LPG and Kerosene.

we r working on the process of conversion of wasteplastic into oil .This conversion is only thermodepolymerisation process in an oxygenfree atmosphere.we had performed this conversion and got good result. The oil obtained by waste plastic was mixed oil.it has maor constituent of diesel and kerosene .the process of conversion is also easy. so i think if we devolp this technology in our country then we can manage our plastic and also fulfill the demand of kerosene and lpg etc for commom people.

Sir, LPG misuse can easily be controlled by issuing LPG RFID cards to all customers across India , I had suggested the same years back to an oil company but there was no response. The RFID card with our software works as a id card of the customer, when the cylinder is delivered to a customer the delivery person has to get the card of the LPG customer and flash it on the reader provided by us , the moment it is flashed the account shows as delivered to the right person and OMC can monitor online

The subsidy to any person should be added in his/her income and the subsidy benefit should be made taxable. Sale of kerosene should be done freely through retail/super stores. Coupons/tickets can be provided to the poor families for getting these items, such as kerosene and other food items at subsidized rates.

Give It Up - LPG Subsidy is a very good initiative campaigned by Ministry. In this regard what i would like to point out is that if the scheme facilitates the volunteers to revoke their relinquished subsidy, then the number would swell like anything. This is due to the fact the uncertainity what particularly salaried class feels. Minimum period shall be one year and after that if an individual wishes to get back its subsidy he may be able to do so. This would result in higher turnout.

CNG subsidy should be given only to public transport vehicles likes buses and not to private autos and cars PNG is feasible and available only in rich organized housing areas. PNG is supplied at a very cheap cost to very rich people only. But lakhs of crores are spent on pipeline and refinery infra for this. The heavy subsidy for PNG in comparison with LPG must be removed as benefit goes to rich people only. PNG and CNG must be sold at market rate accounting all govt. expenditure for that

It is surprising that only 6.74 lakh people have so far given up their LPG subsidy. Govt. has given a chance for voluntarily giving up the subsidy. Now it should be made mandatory for all those earning Rs.10 lakh and above annually to give up the subsidy. It is also observed that the reduction in petrol and diesel charges is having no effect on the prices.Even RTC bus charges are not reduced. Autos are charging more than ever. Who is getting the benefit of reduction in petrol/diesel prices ?

Since government doesn't have enough mechanism for effective last mile distribution of LPG at least in rural areas where more than 80% of population still rely on solid fuels that is biomass WOOD,rice husks, cow dung cakes etc. and that too there are solid fuel collectors not buyers , so it's something like very far to bring acceptability, availability and overall affordability of LPG even after subsidizing unless you have penetrated fair distribution systems . only 28% of population have access to LPG all over India . By giving up klpg subsidy how would we benefit them. There is program of govt of India called unnat Chula abhiyan launched by MNRE which didn't have any audience as because no awareness program are going on for it else lot of money is being wasted in labs r&d travelling international tours and so on by associated people. There are smokeless as similar as LPG type biomass stoves available India which works through solid fuels but are as cleaner and safer in terms of smoke emissions as LPG. Few pictures I have attached .Giving rural people these appliances may reduce the govt burden and also stops draining lot of wealth to gulf countries. Overall effective and best disposal of solid freely available fuel may be done. if my thoughts interests some one I may send more views else independently I am trying and will so on try to reduce this indoor air pollution through effective list mile distribution of clean cooking appliances.
