The enormity of the situation brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic invites – or rather forces – a reflection on the nature and effectiveness of our systems of governance. And not just of health systems, but more broadly the governance of issues in a Pandemic.

Governance, is frequently used to refer to certain positive attributes organizations and institutions (often public institutions) should incorporate. These attributes include some concepts such as:
• Transparency
• Accountability
• Control of corruption
• Efficiency
• Inclusiveness
• Rule of law

This manner of understanding governance, often also referred to as “good governance”, suggests that effective governance is about setting rules and incentives such as enforceable orders, directives or recommendations. Through these, the behaviours of a substantial number of individuals in the group of interest are steered in a direction that is conducive to achieving collective goals.
In the current situation with the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, the central governance issues have been facing a number of challenges. The coronavirus pandemic is here and its effects on lives are still unimaginable. It has opened eyes to the limitations we have to generate effective governance in the face of a public health crisis.

To address the challenges, the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances have operationalized the ‘Idea-Box’ for receiving Ideas and Suggestions on the topic “Good Governance Practice in a Pandemic” with effect from 02.11.2020.

You can share your submissions only in PDF format.

The Department looks forward to your ideas and suggestions on “Good Governance Practice in a Pandemic” in the Idea-Box hosted here.

and bisexual women are at risk of domestic violence along with straight women .The corrective therapy can involve torture which is punishable for just 1 y=ear but if i get assaulted then it is ten years and if my uncle had to do that he would be in jail for 10 years or more. My request is to make it more stringent to even their supposed protectors that can and should never be called parents.

Greeting I suggest certain special measures to take care of Transgender community as covid 19 affects them too in a very different way they have no where to stay and no one is willing to treat them as humans..For proper understanding can take the consultation of the lgbtq rights organizations by means readily available. I am a no trangender and as a woman I camn still get my rights but they cant .Their protection from sexual assault in the places by police is as important as my protection.

Every human being should hold responsibility for themselves and try to set an example for others, the poor slums and the sidewalks should have a proper and strict management to put the effort to clean up India. A beautiful Country and people trying to ruin it... Our PM should employ the cleaners to get up early as a yoga exercise and start cleaning up.... and there should be litters specially designed for the masks to be thrown in and penalty for not wearing the masks

The suicide by a lady form the Amte family in nandanvan because of spurious reporting by an editor calls for introspection about reforms and ethics in print/electronic media. Punishment for the guilty is the need of the time.

Government alone can't fight with corona, we all have to take responsibilities, lockdown is not solution so only those who are doing job or doing business should go out otherwise rest of people should stay at home, unnecessary don't go out, this is how we can have less crowd outside and control over covid-19..

Lockdown is not solution and we all have to be aware because to be honest i stay on rent and shop also on rent, we are totally broken financially, if lockdown then we don't have sufficient fund to survive and how would we pay the rent and bills, think about poors who has completely shattered from inside..
