In today's time in engineering universities they have those subject which are not new as per the technology and they don't have very skilled faculty also for e.g the latest technologies in computer Science are Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing etc. but the universities doesn't provide such courses or practicals and because of that the student lack in their career.
So the Skill Universities should have such a syllabus which is latest & practicals also done in them.

In an Engineering or diploma or whatever it may be, the Universities have to frame the syllabus in such a way that,at the end of the course(at least for one year) students have to thoroughly study the skills(practically)related to his area of study. In the beginning, let them study the other required things concerned to the degree.Immediately after getting the degree, the industries have to directly recruit the students from the college.Tie up btwen the Univer, colege and industry is essential

Govt.should not commit a mistake like it did in the establishments of Private Engineering Colleges. Skill universities must ensure Campus Placements to all skilled students studying there.
Secondly,Skill Universities must be linked with industries. Its better if big industrial houses are involved in the establishment of Skill Universities.
Curriculum must be such that it meets the needs of skills for 21st century job requirements. Skill University must bring out future ready skilled force.

skill uni. concept is getting late. it should come immediately when youth is struggling for jobs. this uni. will open new avenues for most students who are fighting with the gap of employment and employability.
first this uni. should open in cosmopolitan cities like Delhi, Calcutta , Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Lucknow . They should be interlinked.
Mentors of these uni. should be high profiled Skilled person and should be updated with latest trends.

We are from Diamond Industry. We have Skilled man power, but yet we are unable to teach them theory in English language.
because they are below Primary level Education. how can they read English.
We are requesting to draft syllabus in Regional language.

Sir,it has been seen good univ are not producing skilled men and fakes are also many.a middle path is required where traditional skills get a formal recognition and formal skills get a industry touch. For this adoption of traditional skills by univ is necessary and compulsory internship with Armed forces/Govt. sector should be there.

The Skills Universities should have close links with Industries. This is essential to provide on the job training. The students should also have options to learn skills such as music, painting, photography, sports coaching, building construction, repair and maintenance, driving, pilot training etc. Industry links should be established with direct participation of Industries in the University setup. Also, the job opportunities should be assured for those coming out of these skills universities.

The proposal to start Skills Universities is a very good proposal. However, some of the skills such as Computer Programming skills are rapidly evolving. These skill sets are changing with time. As we can see, programming languages, operating systems, hardware platforms, with respect to computer software and hardware skills are rapidly changing. For skills which are somewhat static with respect to time, the skills training goes a long way.
Skills training departments can be added in univs.

In the conventional Engineering and technology courses for B-tech pl.include an compulsory assignment for students by which students will dismantle and again boxup a complicated machine back to its working state. This will help create good and effective teachers for further imparting skill training in would be coming skill varsities. Otherwise India will have to continue to depend on half baked roadside skill personnel for skilling jobs.Preplanning for teachers is a must.
