In order to design an interoperable ecosystem of data, applications and processes, there is a need to formulate a policy for the Government Organizations to provide Open Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). The “Policy on Open APIs for Government of India” has been drafted to encourage formal use of Open APIs in Government Organizations. This policy sets out the Government’s approach on the use of “Open APIs” to promote software interoperability for all e-Governance applications & systems and provide access to data & services for promoting participation of citizens and other stakeholders.

You are requested to provide your inputs on the policy and suggest implementation approach across the government.

To read the abstract of Open API Policy please refer the following URL: https://static.mygov.in/static/s3fs-public/Draft_Policy%20on%20Open%20AP...

Last date for sending your suggestions is 10th November 2014.

I cannot exactly view the Open API Policy abstract as the URL link to that appears broken while viewing on screen. Please update it to a "clickable" link so that me and other like minded people can read up on it and offer their views. Open API is indeed a very viable way to avoid conflicts between different Government objectives (and people platforms too).

Today only 3 names of illegal account holders of black money were revealed..but its a duty of the govt. towards nation and its functions to take action against the peoples who are responsible for our nations worst condition,so every1's name with their black property record should be made public to let other criminals know well that what they have to face if they conduct any such crime..also the black money should be used for nation and they shud b made to pay their 50% of assets as 5n JAI HIND.

I propose that a comprehensive could based software (having its own server) be developed for all levels of governments with complete interoperability wherein all and any existing government file/document be scanned and digitized. Let then, entire executive branch be trained and made to do their files digitally on the server. It'll, inter alia, increase governance speed, transparency and accountability by multiple folds, make entire govt paperless, compare speed of file completion for appraisal etc

Post Wolrd War-2 , MIT dean, Van Bush convinced president Roosevelt to form a research foundation combining industry, military & academia. This led to several scientific discoveries including the internet. The strategy to combine private industry, military & academic institutes was very unique & yielded great results. Why can’t we do something similar in India? We have premier institutes in the form of IIT. I firmly believe we can do this!

Dear Sir, I would like to bring your attention to our highways. There are lot of issue with our highways such as unplanned U turns, unplanned enter/exit, lack of signs/information on highways. I think time has come when we need to adopt US or Japanese highway models. This is the need of hour as it will save lot of lives, time and fuel as well. These are tested and proved models so we should start with at least with couple of NCR highways.

Respected Sir, I would like to bring into your consideration that there need to be some changes required when some one is caught in public money scam or black money.Apart from sending him jail a full money recovery mechanism need to be in place so that person gets penalised and he/she returns all money for whatever scam they were in. I believe that while you are in this position of PM you will take step into this and will make amendments in law to recover every money Thanks&Regard Anirudh
