A Committee on Net Neutrality has submitted its report to the Department of Telecommunications. Its recommendations broadly contain technical, regulatory and public policy related measures required with respect to Net Neutrality issue.

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is also currently engaged in consultation process on the issue whose recommendations are awaited.

It is emphasized that the views expressed in the report are that of the Committee and not of the Government. Your valuable comments, wide scale consultations, as also the report of the TRAI will help the Government to take appropriate decision on the issue.

1. We don't want net neutrality to be defined by telecom companies. We don't want telcos controlling the Internet. You cannot charge differently for different websites. 2. We want to be able to access anything on the Internet, at any given time, without having to pay more for it separately. That's the real meaning of Net Neutrality and not what telcos or Internet.org defines it. 3. We don't want licensing for WhatsApp, Viber or any other app we use.

We want the total freedom of accessing anything anywhere. We don't want the telecos decide what we should do with the internet. We don't want the twisted net neutrality as defined by the telecos. We don't want licensing of Whatsapp, Viber or any such app. #NetNeutrality

We want to be able to access anything on the internet at anytime without having to pay more for it separately. We so not want licencing for WhatsApp, Viber or any other app that we use.

We DON'T WANT telecom companies to control WHAT we access on the Internet and they CAN'T charge us money for accessing certain websites/applications on the Internet. 3. We WANT to be able to access anything, at any time, without having to pay more for it separately. 4. We DON'T WANT licensing for Whatsapp, Viber or any other app we use. 5. Access to ALL content on the internet should be accessible to everyone.

We want free access to everything and to everyone on internet, at any given time, without paying separately for different websites/apps. That's the real meaning of net neutrality and not what telcos and internet.org defines it 3. We dont want licensing to whatsapp, viber and any other communication apps that we use.

1. We don't want ISPs to govern what we see on internet. Everything on internet should be equally treated and not be charged separately. 2. We want the real meaning of net neutrality to flourish and not what the telecom operators are defining it as. 3. We don't want any licensing for apps like Whatsapp, Viber etc.

We DON'T WANT Net Neutrality to be defined by telecom companies. We WANT to be able to access anything, at any time, without having to pay telcos more for it separately. We DON'T WANT licensing for Whatsapp, Viber or any other apps we use. WE DON'T WANT telecom operators to dictate terms, We WANT full access to all content on internet.

All the data on the internet should be treated equally & ALL content on the internet MUST be accessible to everyone for free. That's the real meaning of Net Neutrality. 3.
