The mandate of the Ministry of Culture is to preserve, promote, explore and share India’s culture and heritage along with ethos and values for the benefit of mankind. For achieving this Mission, the Ministry undertakes the following activities:

• Maintenance and conservation of heritage, historic sites and ancient monuments
• Administration of libraries
• Promotion of literary, visual and performing arts
• Observation of centenaries and anniversaries of important national personalities and events
• Promotion of institutions and organizations of Buddhist and Tibetan studies
• Promotion of institutional and individual non-official initiatives in the fields of art and culture
• Entering into cultural agreements with foreign countries

The functional spectrum of the Ministry ranges from creating cultural awareness from the grass root level to the international cultural exchange level. Details about several Schemes which are administered by Ministry of Culture for providing financial assistance for promoting cultural activities are available on the Ministry’s website (http://indiaculture.nic.in/).

Also, various organizations under the Ministry of Culture organize cultural programs and events from time to time.

The Ministry has decided to invite suggestions from the public regarding innovative ideas for effective use of Media in promoting Indian Culture and Heritage.

It is requested that the individual suggestions may be limited to about 200 words.

According to my views media should enhance our indian culture by adopting strategies like they should make special programmes which will show how our soldiers and many people are doing so much for their nation which will help other people to do so and which will help in increasing feeling of patriotism

मै मध्यप्रदेश की पुलिस में कम करता हु और हरजगह सफ़र करता हु।। जहा तक मुझे लगता है की अगर साँस्कृतिक धरोहरों को उनकी प्राचीन अवस्था और यथासंस्कृति में रहने दिया जाए तो यह और आकर्षक होगा।। टीवी और मीडिया के द्वारा वेस्टर्न थीम हमारी सांस्कृतिक धरोहरो स्थलो में दिखाई जाएगी तो अलग अलग देशो में हमारे देश के प्रति जागरुकता घटेगी। अतः हमें अपनी थींम पुरानी और साफ सफाई नई दिखाएँ । जरुरत के अनुसार टेक्नॉलॉय और व्यवस्थाओं को बदला जा सकता है।। जय हिन्द जय भारत।।

All channels in the media should display programs inculcating rich indian culture and heritage. All TV serials and advertisements should be based on our originality and rich cultural heritage.

Share Your Views...plz don't give reservation to all jaat community they highly rich except kisan who have no own field ...plz remove reservation in India ..only handicapped .. martyr's family or who financially weak

Myself born in Haryana,bought up settled in Delhi,now growing my business in Gujarat I have a suggestion to sort out the issue of reservation:- 1.Set out slab for the reservation category on income based. 2.Now mandatory for every citizen to file their ITR, accordingly those who will come into that slab will be benefitted in reservation quota. Set reservation quota for handicapped,senior citizens, family of the martyred

Is it not possible to avoid participating in discussion on various TV shows. Why can't we do one to one interview so we can not let reporters or journalists to deviate the main issue. Government should just release its opinion on various issues rather than doing debate with various opposition parties & NGO or so called intellectuals.

Respected PM ji Its important to show case government's achievements & advertisement it in a effective way is a very important aspect of it. Party like Aam admi can do it we can too do it better. Secondly government should reach out to poor so that they are assured of their basic requirements are taken care of. Like farmers are the backbone of our country, really needed to be taken care of seriously.

The most important aspect is quality and commitment of the employees. Quality people to be recruited in Doordarshan and AIR to transform these channels into top watched / heard channels in India. Emphasis should be laid on people with ideas and hard workers. Salary can be better than private sector.

1.Quick Justice is almost required to control the crime. Because due to delay process of court hearing the criminals threaten to witness and get opportunity for further crime. That's why more civil and criminal judges may be appointed to final court cases within one year. By which no one will dare to crime and the peaceful stratosphere will return in society.
