Sustainable Exploitation of oil and gas potential of the North East region could be a harbinger of economic prosperity for the people of the region. Presently there seems to be a disconnect between the local communities and the Exploration and Production (E&P) operators in the region. This seems to be discouraging E&P activities in the region thereby reducing the number of takers for operations in the region. Although the Govt. of India has been taking several initiatives to promote E&P in the NER, it is essential to make the local communities an important stakeholder in the process.

Suggestions are invited from the public which could encourage people's participation in these activities.

I am from Rajasthan and there was a possibility of opening a refinery in this sector of Rajasthan but state government is least concerned about this. Previous gov started this project and even an MOU was signed but now nothing is been done. If this project would have been successful how many small industries would have grown. How many people would have been employed but nothing is being done. Its just that this gov seems to only talk but no one is working in the state gov.

Respected Sir, I am from Kerala which has a very high literacy rate but all development from central government is stopped or delayed by local politicians.We have no proper highways, municipalities are not functioning,everything you need to do in Kerala needs bribery. People are frustrated with these politicians and system who does not allow any growth in Kerala unless they are paid first. We need central government to enforce the expansion of roads, building hospitals, new industry

Large amount of different fuels are used by the industry. But there is no reporting bench mark of consumption ration of fuels with product. If its declare by the industry and reports will be consurve the energy I.e. fuels.

if we convert waste as source then we can get lots of advantages.... i had allready mentioned that waste plastic can be converted into fuel (diesel,kerosene etc....) ....

Concentrate majorly on biodiesel and biopetroleum. As well as promote research on them. Provide crops for such at a subsidised rate. Provide the foul lands with these crops. These crops have immense potential to thrive in harsh conditions too. The extraction process plants can be created. Would drastically reduce the import burden. North Eastern parts of India have oil reserves but we can use a cleaner and comparatively cheaper method of cultivating rather than drilling.
