Sir, Need is not to plan but to act. No plan is meaningful till its not done. Govt. Officials can make any rules if they want and agree to do so. Why there are no strict rules near ganga to not use any plastic bags and if seen that person is fined 500 rs charge or is taken into custody for four hours. Similar action for other manners too. Once people will be charged, they won't do it again. We have to act now. Planning days are gone. I urge all the govt. Officers to make strict rules.Thanks.

To clean Ganga to a major extent government should bann activities like washing clothes ,by prohibiting the use of soaps and shampoos during bathing in our most holy river Ganga and a heavy bfine should be imposed on them. The people of our country should not throw any type of garbage like 'pattals' after eating foods and flowers after worshipings. This would reduce the pollution of river Ganga to some extent

Not keep cleaning it instead of reducing its source because it take up much money, half in ganaga and another half by corruped employees

the best is by awareness through our national schemes such as NSS as they visit each rural area for camps and can have good conversation between the villagers and avoid the prevention of another river.

We need massive campaigns to educate industry houses, people, children... it has to reach to each and every citizen. Do's and Don'ts need to be taught in all possible means... Strict laws has to be imposed. Govt have limitation in physically cleaning the whole river.... change has to come from people. Similar campaigns in 70's and 80's made Singapore the country we see today. JAI HIND!!!
